Mythic Magazine Podcast #7: Deadworld Dome Scene 3

We return to the zombie apocalypse of Deadworld Dome to cache hunter Vi having an eye-opening conversation with a forest community's leader, and the discovery of what the Festival For A New Era is about.

This episode incorporates rules from Mythic Magazine #44's "Running Solo Slice Of Life Adventures" in how an interaction between Vi and an NPC is carried out.

I should also note that at the end of the session I forgot to update the Chaos Factor! I decided that, while Vi learned some important things in this Scene, she really wasn't in control of anything. For this reason I am raising the Chaos Factor from 5 to 6.

I enjoyed making this podcast a lot, and I'm liking where this adventure is going! I've listened to some other actual play podcasts, almost all of which sound more professional than mine, which got me to thinking that perhaps I should do more editing and smoothing of the content. However, I think it's good in this case to leave that stuff in there. You hear me considering interpretations, wondering out loud, basically voicing my thoughts as I decide what to do next. While that may come across as a bit rough for a narrative, I hope it's useful to Players as you consider how you would have interpreted the same results.

That's it for now! Happy adventuring :)

Thanks Roosevelt, I'm glad you like it! This is the thing I love most about solo roleplaying, being genuinely surprised by where the adventures go. It's seems strange when you think about it, that you can be surprised by a narrative when playing it alone, and yet here we are :)

This is getting good! It's amazing how well Mythic can build an intriguing story from scratch!

Thank you so much :) I'm still feeling a little self-conscious about doing the podcast since it's new to me, so the reassurance helps :)

Not all actual play podcasts are educational. I learn a lot from you discussing your decision making, plus your episodes are entertaining. In summary, great as they are! And thanks!!
