September Progress Journal, #1
Added 2024-09-06 21:55:50 +0000 UTCGreetings Mythicists! I hope your month has gotten to a good start, with lots of solo roleplaying :) I don't know about you, depending on where you are of course, but it is hot here! The other day got up to 116 F, which is about 47 C. Summers are hot here, but that's unusual.
My point being, of course, we should stay inside and solo roleplay :)
What is happening here? Let's take a peek ...
Mythic Magazine Compilation #6 POD
According to UPS, my print proofs for Mythic Magazine Compilation #6's DTRPG POD editions will arrive later today! I can't wait to get ahold of them. Hopefully all is well, and if so those should go live next week. If all is not well and I have to do another round, then we're looking at maybe two or three weeks. Keep your fingers crossed and your Chaos Factor low!
Mythic Magazine Compilation #7
This one is still on track to release this month in PDF, then I'll get to work on the POD version.
Micro Mythic, The Process
I seem to have a mental process when making stuff. I'm not saying it's a good process, but it's a process. With Micro Mythic, it's looked something like this: All these One-Pagers belong together, I should do a book ... now that I'm doing a book, it should be more than a collection but a full system of One-Pagers ... now that I'm doing a full system of One-Pagers, I should put more new stuff in there and really make sure it's robust and feature rich ...
So that's where I'm at right now. It's coming along nicely, but as it comes along I get more ideas, and then I want to put those ideas into it, and then I do. This is why I'm so bad at predicting when stuff will come out!
I just finished the One-Page Scene Crafter section, which is a single page condensed version of Mythic's Scene structure, Lists, Expected/Altered/Interrupt Scenes, and Chaos Factor. It all fits neatly on one page as if it was always meant to be there :)
Mythic Magazine Podcast
I started this podcast a few months ago, after a few years ago doing a podcast interview of Trevor Devall. This was an experiment to see if I could do it, and if it would be good enough to send out into the world. And you know what? I'm really enjoying it :) So the result of the experiment is yes, this is a thing that will continue! I'm in the midst of an ongoing adventure right now, and I know it's a bit slow going at one scene a month, so I'll do another Scene this month and then ask everyone if the next episode should continue the adventure, or if we should veer away for a month for something else like an interview or AMA or something.
The Mythic App Rises!
Thanks to Jason Holt Digital, the Mythic App is back on track! Jason is picking up from Dasher's work, and has been very diligent with announcing updates and communicating in the Discord. If you want to see what's going on with the app, drop on by! Discord invite: https://discord.gg/vc2YZ9n
That is all for now! Happy adventuring :)
Comments
I'm glad you like the Compilations! I have to admit, I do like how they look all lined up on the shelf. I'm very proud of the magazine, but there's just something about the issues collected into a volume that adds a certain extra something to it for me. You mention Compilation #7, I better get on it getting it out there! lol Actually, that one is almost done, so it should be set loose into the wild this month. I'm expecting my proof copies for the POD of #6 any day now. They were supposed to arrive on Saturday, but did not. So, hopefully today.
