This month's preview is the cover artwork from Jorge Muñoz for Mythic Magazine #28. With a revised version of the Mythic RPG combat system featured in that issue it seemed natural that the cover should be a combat image. I think Jorge came up with something pretty exciting. Those two are really going at it!
I like that the image is very active and chaotic looking because I'm hoping to capture that feeling with these revised combat rules. Back when I made the first Mythic RPG combat section I also wanted it to have that sense of chaos, which is why the initiative rules are the way they are. I think the overall system can be simplified, however, and made to feel even more ... combative.
