February Preview

For this month's preview I have Jorge's cover art for the next issue of Mythic Magazine. Usually for a cover I will suggest to him an idea based on one of the articles in the issue. When neither article lends itself to an obvious image, however, I ask him come up with whatever he wants. I'm always pleasantly surprised by what he comes up with, and that's what we have this time :)
I like his art for lots of reasons, but one of those reasons it that a lot of what he does is what I might call a "doing something" image. It features a character doing something. Whatever it is they're doing may not be completely obvious, but at the same time the image evokes immediate creative interpretations. Which reminds me of Mythic :)
Mythic Magazine #27 is shaping up nicely. One article is about giving Mythic a personality that shapes how it behaves, and the other is a great big guide to Mythic and Crafter rules.

I’ve become a huge fan of his art for just that quality. Reminds me in good ways of my Heavy Metal/Metal Hurlant faves from when I was young, like Enki Bilal.
