Progress Journal, Jan. 15.

Greetings Mythicists! I hope everyone is having a wonderful month so far :)

Well, there has certainly been much progress to report for this Progress Journal. This January has been a big Mythic Month with Mythic Game Master Emulator Second Edition coming out, and Mythic Magazine #25 featuring One-Page Mythic. It's like a Mythic buffet! I can't think of a better way to celebrate the month that is Mythic's 20th birthday.

Second Edition is doing very well on DriveThruRPG. Last I checked, it was still holding position in first place on the Bestsellers List after 4 days and it took only 3 days to reach Platinum status.

FYI, earlier today I posted form fillable PDFs of the Adventure Journal Sheet and the Adventure Lists Sheet on the Resource page at www.wordmillgames.com.

Some errata in the 2e book has been reported to me, and I plan to update the file next week with the corrections. Thankfully, so far, nothing big has been found. The errors are stylistic ones, a few grammatical mistakes in some of the tables, and a form at the back of the book with a portion that got misaligned.

POD editions of Mythic GME 2e are in the works. The files are with the printer right now, being looked over. If all checks out I'll order print proofs, and if those check out then the books should be available on DriveThruRPG in a few weeks. An Amazon edition is also on its way.

Mythic Magazine #26 is in the works, with an article about new Scene structures beyond Expected, Altered, and Interrupt. I already have the cover artwork from Jorge, and it looks tremendous :)

Mythic Magazine Compilation #4 is also in the works. That one got delayed as Mythic GME 2e took over, but Compilation #4 is back on track and will hopefully be ready in about a month.

I have a few card deck projects in the works to support Second Edition. The first is a set of cards that have all the book's tables. I'm hoping this will make for an easily portable version of Mythic GME 2e's tables for mobile devices as well as for use in apps. You'll also be able to order a printed version to make it easier to arrange the tables you use most in person. I'm finding this is especially useful for the Elements Meaning Tables, as there are a bunch of them but singling out cards with the tables on them is easy to organize.

The second deck will be a new Mythic GME deck, updated for Second Edition. This project is still in the pre-design phase as I work out how best to approach it. There is so much more material in 2e than in the first edition that it'll be a challenge getting all of it onto cards. Nevertheless, this needs to happen and I look forward to seeing how it evolves :)

That's about it for now, but that's quite a lot!

I think the solo role-playing community is among the best in the RPG industry, and the Mythic community in particular is full of creative, generous, and supportive people. I was extremely nervous as I approached the launch of 2e and once it was released I received such a wonderful wave of well-wishes and support that it was a tremendous relief and quite uplifting :) Thank you so much :)
