Patreon Thank You Page
Added 2022-12-23 23:51:41 +0000 UTCAs I near the final stages of wrapping up Mythic GME 2e I'm thinking that I would like to include a page thanking you, the Mythicists, for helping to make this possible.
I have never done a Thank You page like this and I'm not sure what the standard practice is. Also, I don't want to assume that everyone wants their name printed in the book.
Before I forge ahead with this, does anyone have any suggestions? My impulse is to make a post asking anyone who DOESN'T want their name included to DM me. If there is a better way to approach this, however, I'm interested.

I agree. This can err one of two ways, someone isn't included that should be, or someone is included that doesn't want to be. I think it's better to err on the side of privacy and just include people who expressly want to be included, with their name they want it to be.

Sometimes the lists are grouped into "tier levels" for kickstarters or other fundraisers, but that doesn't seem to apply here. You get inspiration from so many different places, though (Discord, reddit, etc.) that just your thank you is enough for me.

2022-12-24 07:54:00 +0000 UTCConsider asking the other way around. Two reasons: 1. One might miss the opt-out and then be added to the list unwillingly. 2. What name will you use? Asking for an opt-in, you then can ask for the name to be printed (it might be different from what ever source you consider to use) I have seen this being used on some Kikstarters and by my understanding is the correct way to do this.
