Progress Journal, Nov. 12
Added 2022-11-12 22:11:00 +0000 UTCGreetings Mythicists! I hope everyone had a good and safe Halloween season, and played plenty of appropriately scary solo adventures :)
The progress I have to report now is much like the previous, where work is continuing on Mythic Game Master Emulator 2 steadily. I am hoping to have it out by the end of the year, or January 2023 at the latest. I am considering January as the 20th anniversary of Mythic so that would be a good month to release it. It's a big book, however, so I want to take my time and get it right.
I'm working on getting more print editions of my books made available. Right now this includes a standard paper color hardback of Mythic GME on DriveThru and Mythic Magazine Compilations 1 and 2 as softcover on Amazon.
I'm in the process of overhauling the Word Mill Games website. I gave it a facelift about a year ago but it really needs another one. I'm hoping to have a smoother, more professional site in time for the 20th anniversary in January.
Take care, and happy adventuring! :)

Mythic GME 2e will supersede v1 in the sense that it's a new edition. It incorporates portions of MV 1, MV2, and the magazines, as well as having some new content of its own. The system has some changes, but is mostly a refinement of the current system. As such, it's mostly backward compatible with current material. I suspect that Mythic veterans will view it more as a giant variations book while new players will see it as their introduction to Mythic. Mythic GME 1 and all the current books will continue to be available as that material works fine with Mythic GME 2. Considering the modular nature of Mythic some people may still want to use some of the old rules and plug them in with the new. For instance, maybe you don't like the changes to the Fate Chart so you use the old one, but you like the new Random Events rules. So, with all this said, the right combo of resources is still up to you. Use what you want, remove what you don't, and plug in something else if you like. Mythic GME 2e gives a more complete starting point with a refined version of the same ruleset which I think will make selecting your Mythic resources easier to do.

And what content from the magazine? I just to make sure that - when MGME 2 comes - I'll be using the right "combo" of resources. Thank you so much for the clarification!
