As usual, there's lots going on. I'm continuing work on assembling Mythic Magazine Compilation #3. I've made some changes in how I format the pages of my books, so this one is taking longer than usual since I have to reformat everything. I'm happy with the new formatting, however. I expect it to make for more readable books when they are printed, and I think it makes the PDF versions look nicer too.
And then there's this exciting development: I've been talking with Trevor Duvall of Me, Myself, and Die. I'm going to interview him and write the interview up as an article in a future issue of Mythic Magazine. I'm really looking forward to this! My questions will likely focus on his recommendations for running solo games. Personally, among his many skills at playing solo I think he especially excels at interpreting inspiration prompts and running with his expectations. I think there's an art to this, about how far do you work entirely off your expectations and at what point do you stop and ask a Fate Question. I expect much of the interview to focus on those aspects of solo gaming, although I'm sure we'll run a wide gamut of topics by the time it's done.
I'm also working on getting more editions of my books available. This largely focuses on getting PDF books into POD form. Right now I'm focusing on getting the revised Mythic GME and Mythic RPG books back onto Amazon. I had removed the previous editions when I updated the artwork. After that, I'm looking at having books on Itch and producing POD versions of the Mythic Magazine Compilations at DriveThruRPG.

I'm looking forward to the interview too. Trevor is fantastic! The versions of Mythic that I'm posting onto Amazon are the same ones on DriveThruRPG. These are the recently revised versions with new art. However, the items you're asking about will be in the 2nd edition. Mythic GME second edition will include a revised version of the original system, as well as the most important content from the Variations books and Mythic Magazine, including the tables from Issue #18. My move to change the versions of Mythic on Amazon is just to keep up to date so I don't have different versions of it on different platforms.

When I first found Mythic and was still learning to use it, I found 'Me Myself and Die' on YT and it was an amazing tool to show how well it could be integrated into any game. I've been using it ever since in my Solo DnD games. I am wondering, with you getting Mythic GME and Mythic RPG books back onto Amazon, will you include variations I and II in the Mythic GME? And or/perhaps the amazing specialized meaning tables you have created for the Mythic Mag recently (especially those in issue 18 - cause those are 🔥 )? I guess what I am asking is - will the books on Amazon be 'updated and expanded' editions, or re-releases of the originals?

I know the collection of specialized Meaning Tables in issue #18 focused mainly on active elements, but I hadn't considered doing a collection of tables that were description oriented. I know some of the tables are, but ... what you're suggesting is very description oriented. Yes, there is definitely a chance of this happening in the future. I'll add it to the list of upcoming articles. Great idea!

The poor book is 19 years old and is only now getting a halfway decent revision. I'm looking forward to completely revising it with a second edition. Good luck with character creation! As far as hacking the Fate Check, Mythic Magazine #13 has some thoughts on that :)

He's the one person we recommend when someone is curious about starting into solo rpg/Mythic. I'm also glad to hear that Mythic RPG is getting some tlc because I recently read the character creation rules and I actually love them, though I haven't had a chance to test them out yet. Planning on hacking the MV2 fate check for task resolution with the red book. We'll see how it goes!
