Added 2021-09-01 23:10:23 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I'm excited that Mythic Magazine 9 is out, because it's hard to believe we'll be coming up on one year of it really soon.
I know a lot of you have been asking about POD versions of Mythic Magazine. I'm working on those and should have a POD version of #1 soon, with #2 and #3 following soon after. Mentioning one year of the magazine, I'll be coming up on making a compendium edition of the first year. So, it's more than likely that a POD compendium edition will be available before individual POD versions for each issue.
This will give you options if you want a printed version. If there are just a few individual copies you wanted in print then don't feel you have to get the whole compendium to get them in print. All issues of Mythic Magazine will eventually get their own POD versions.

Love the article on matching an RPG to the solo play style. I found I used a few of the techniques already, but seeing a different phrasing on how to go about it was useful. On the combat side of things, when playing your D&D style games with lots of combat, I find sometimes I want to do the exploring, or the social aspect, but I am not feeling the combat side, so I will set up a question on Mythic, and set victory/loss conditions for the degree of success and just resolve it with 1 roll, unless the roll turns up some sort of plot twist. I realize this wouldn't be satisfactory to everyone, but if you want to burn up a dungeon in one evening and save your lengthy combat for the finally (or just interesting things rather than rats or zombies), it is a way of trimming the fat, so to speak.
