Added 2021-06-03 23:31:45 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Mythic Magazine #6 is newly out, and I really feel like the Mystery rules represent something very new in the Mythic lineup. I'm curious to see how this method gets used over time.
I've mentioned before that when Mythic 2nd Edition comes out, it'll not only incorporate the contents of the Variations books but also the best material from the Mythic Magazines up to that point. Mythic GME 2e will come out first, and will be much more bare bones, but following that will be the full Mythic 2e and I'm looking forward to having Mythic Magazine content in it.
Speaking of 2e, progress continues. I'm slowly making my way through the GME book, rewriting and re-typesetting everything. Re-artworking too, of course. I'm not going to say any dates just yet when this will come out, because I always blow past my own deadlines, but I can say that I am very anxious to get it done so it is a top priority.

Variations II was meant as a sort of Mythic Second Edition, but I felt the material was too experimental to be officially called 2e and it fit better as a Variations book. I'm glad I went that route now, as it's given time for the ideas in MV2 to sink in. Some of the material is stronger than the other, and some of those ideas will get into Mythic 2e while others will remain as a Variation.

2021-06-08 02:17:04 +0000 UTCPersonally, I really like the Fate Chart, but if compatibility with the RPG system is ensured, I might get along with the Fate Check. But I am really excited about seeing a version with different artwork. Whenever I recommended the red book, I had to warn people about that aspect, which was not really up to par with the excellence of the written content (^_^;;

2021-06-04 00:09:45 +0000 UTCThat's one of the reasons why I wanted to do this in the first place, to have a nice hard cover edition of Mythic lol I've never made a hard cover book through DriveThru, but I'm excited to see what it looks like.
