I've made a few changes in my production lineup and have moved the Revised Mythic Emulator up to be the next priority. I did this because it's a smaller book and will come together much faster than Mythic Complete. I can get Mythic GME done, then do Mythic Complete, and both core books will be fresh and new.
I also decided to make the revised GME a fuller product. Instead of just repackaging it, I'm rewriting large portions of it and I'm including with it items that I think should be included in a core Mythic book. That includes the Fate Check from Mythic Variations 2 (there really should be a chart-free option), including the Description Meaning Tables along with the Action Meaning Tables, and incorporating The Adventure Crafter method of maintaining Lists as an option in Mythic.
I'm viewing Mythic GME Revised as the core Mythic book, with Mythic Complete being the full, omnibus version.
For your previewing pleasure, I've attached the current draft of the first chapter of Mythic GME Revised. Please keep in mind that this is unedited and still missing bits, but it gives you some idea of where this is going.
I have to say it feels good to rewrite both books. Both the GME and Mythic RPG look so incredibly dated. A lot has happened over the last 18 years, and just how solo role-playing is even viewed and spoken of has changed. I'm trying to make the language used clearer and more on point.
If any of you get a chance, please let me know your thoughts. I know there's not much to look over just yet, but it's a start.
