January Preview
Added 2021-01-16 23:38:42 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I have a preview for you for the January tier three preview. This is a draft of the Mythic Complete cover, as it stands at the moment. I wanted it to be similar to the original Mythic red book cover, but also fresher looking. I also wanted it to have a bit of the blue, honoring the blue Mythic book.
Ever since The Location Crafter came out my books have taken on a similar look in terms of layout, which I wanted to give some cohesion to the entire line of books. You can see some of that in this cover as well.
I don't know if this is the final cover, I suspect I will tinker with it more, but I wanted to get your thoughts on this. It's very simple, but so is the original. I could go with some artwork from Jorge, but then I'm thinking the Mythic books (Mythic red, Mythic blue, Variations, and now this, Mythic Complete) should maybe be distinctive in their lack of cover art.

I would say that perhaps this shade of red is a bit too agressive and lighter it would take the off the intensity it shares with its brethren. As a compendium of knowledge perhaps something more in the tones of purple/ rich purple, more mysterious would be more adequate. In a way, it can have different visual rules as it’s not a new Mythic supplement « per se » but a collection of supplements, that assemble the others. Perhaps the motif in the background could be lighter or more profound.. I would say as a conclusion, perhaps try to shake a bit the rules because as a compendium you conceptually can 🙂

I really do like the nod to the original red and blue books in the color scheme, and I like the idea of keeping the Mythic books themselves (as opposed to the Crafter books) simple on the outside without art, though I think some flashy art might help attract new players 🤔🤔 I think you're doing a great job, Tana! 🎉🎉
