I'm so excited for Mythic Complete! Mythic is what opened the door to solo roleplay for me and what I still use most. Thank you for all your work, Tana!! 🥳🥳

I had originally meant to remake Mythic with the 10th anniversary of it ... which was 7 years ago! Other, newer projects took prominence though. It's time now to get this done and give Mythic the treatment it deserves.

Honestly, it may make more sense to revise the book with a second edition, then come out with a deck based on that, rather than trying to make the current Creature Crafter system more useful with a deck.

Joke aside I didn’t buy the creature crafter because the way it was treated (the comparison is not truly adequate perhaps..) in Mythic Variations 2 was truly complicated. Even if in the end the result was amazing (i could feel it in how you explained it !), trying to determine the % of that race that are this skilled in that profession and more stuff.. argh.. i thought to myself that if this was the method employed in that supplement, It was too complicated and I didn’t want to spend more time doing it.

Creature Crafter is one of my worst selling books, and yet it's one I had some of the most fun making. A deck for it will happen just because that would be so cool, I'm just not sure when it will happen.

2020-12-02 21:02:08 +0000 UTCI agree. I think a general Mythic Variations 2 Deck isn't workable with all the checks, but the Behavior Check itself could benefit from its own deck. I might change that entry to just Behavior Check Deck.

2020-12-02 21:00:36 +0000 UTCUfff.. it was a tough choice between the Mythic Complete and Creature crafter (damn THAT as a card based system would be amazing !). But I think that with the proliferation of good DM-less systems (« DM yourself »for published adventures, « Ironsworn », « Motif Story Engine » and countless online oracles it’s a good idea to put Mythic back in the light and the 20’s.. :)
