It would be an understatement to say that I felt ashamed to be online dating. The messages in my inbox gave me serious anxiety, and some of those strangers were downright creepy. But little did I know that buried in the bottom of my inbox was my future boyfriend of now nearly seven years 🤯. I sometimes imaginarily rewind my life back to the pivotal moment of when I hesitated to reply, and now I can't imagine what a life I would have missed out on if I ignored them. I used to be overly fixated on the 'ideal' way to meet someone, but I've learned that it's the everyday moments in our relationship that truly matter. Life doesn't always follow the plot of a shoujo manga, and that's okay! 🤣 Just to clarify, this post isn't meant to downplay anyone else's journey to love, whether online or not, nor is it sponsored by any dating app (but also wouldn't complain if I was 👉🏼👈🏼 😺❤️🐶)
