NSFW - Exploring Brushes and the Lasso Fill Tool (also there's boobs)
Added 2024-07-20 00:46:23 +0000 UTCSpent most of my day today just messing around with brushes and the lasso fill tool in Clip Studio Paint, trying to figure out which brush looks and works best for my methods. The rocks were scribbled using different brushes, the names of said brushes above each rock. I'm not exactly the best at drawing rocks (yet), but I wanted to draw something simple to see how the brush felt to use overall. I have been using 6Pencil-Soft for a lot of my recent stuff, but I actually found myself liking Soipen more. Something about how it feels and looks just sits right with me, I dunno.
After settling on Soipen I figured I'd try it out more by sketching something quick... and by "sketch something quick" I mean "Get lost in the drawing process and turn what was supposed to be a sketch into a fully-rendered kobold woman". Funny how that often happens with me. I also experimented with the lasso fill tool when doing the colors and shading, which seemed to be extremely effective at getting stuff down VERY quickly albeit a bit loosely. Nothing a bit of refinement can't fix but I am amazed I haven't used this tool before.
