2025 Reading List
Added 2025-12-22 10:42:49 +0000 UTCIn which I shamelessly shill for other authors I've read and enjoyed over the last thirteen moons.
Not everything I read, but the ones I truly enjoyed and want to recommend. Not all harem, either - I have layers.

Beware of Chicken (Yeah, I'm late to that party, but enjoyed it.)
Biomance 2 (I really liked this series. One of the best portrayals of an autistic character I've seen.)
Critical Failures (I reread the series last year. Utterly hilarious, raunchy, and well-written.)
Dungeon Crawler Carl (Believe it or not, I had never read this before. Have now!)
Dungeon Diving (I'm sure you're amazed that I read this series -- who'd a' thunk it?)
Swords Against the Shadowland (I loved Leiber's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser growing up and only last year discovered that Robin Wayne Bailey, another great author, had given us an eighth book.)
Midnight Auto Parts (The Body Shop #3 - Okay, the premise is rent bodies to dead people - what could go wrong?)
Miss Amelia's List (It's Mercedes Lackey, of course I read it.)
The Assassins of Consequence (Maresca's Maradine Saga hasn't had nearly enough recognition and success. Multiple series ranging from fantasy superhero to police procedural, all in the same world with overlapping stories. It's like long-form Thieves World by one guy.)
Influx (Daniel Suarez's latest - shadowy group keeps stomping on advanced tech to keep humanity in line.)
Urban Sorcerer (I really liked the tone of this - a nice blend of slice-of-life and action.)
Quest Academy (Very original world and litrpg system.)
The Level One Bookshop (Cute and cozy litrpg, for when you want to curl up and be comforted.)
The Wizard's Cat (I've been waiting for this sequel to The Wizard's Butler for a long time and it didn't disappoint. And if you like slice-of-life scifi, check out Lowell's other works like Quarter Share.)
Rebellious Royals (Yes, another school setting. I like it. ¯(ツ)/¯)
Powers of the Earth (Another multiple-time reread. If you like Heinlein, especially Moon is a Harsh Mistress, this is for you.)
Dream of the Iron Dragon (Really well done time-travel/displaced-person story. Well-researched on the history.)
