Next week's preview chapter
Added 2025-11-16 17:00:12 +0000 UTCI've mentioned before that my writing style isn't linear. That is, I don't start with Chapter One and finish with Chapter Last -- I write the scenes and arcs in bits and spurts, depending on what I'm feeling at the particular time.
Sometimes I'll even do it within a writing session, writing a sentence or paragraph here, then a sentence or paragraph in a scene that happens months later, then back again.
The preview chapters so far have been presented in order - this is how they're likely to occur in the final book, but we're at a fork in the road ...
There are two -- let's call them blocks, because they're each two or more paragraphs, upcoming and I thought it'd be fun to let you all vote on which you get first. I'll let you know that one of them is two chapters and the other is eight. No, I won't tell you which is which. :D
So ... which character's chapters would you like to see next?

I think Their relationship could go from 0-100 if they got one good kiss in and then we can focus on more interesting things like Gabriel, the conclave finding Morgan and Noah’s mom’s etc. . Also it’s interesting Morgan’s resonant is perfect for Noah’s control resonant maybe even better than a shared one? Any time he orders her to do something and she complies they both get mana. I wonder if she will be from a family that used to pair with the blackwoods if they are known for surrender.
