Prologue 3
O’Neill Family compound
Patriarch’s study
2 days later…
February 17th, 2095
Something was wrong. They lost contact with most of the Families and their allies. The Windsors have gone silent, the Ordintons, and Macleods as well. Most of their money had been stolen from the Royal Bank in Scotland; as well as priceless artifacts and historical data.
He was watching outside his windows as the sun went down over the horizon. The news sensationalized the situation which happened in Scotland two days ago. There were some casualties, all connected to the O’Neill family of course, someone was targeting his people; he guessed this because the rest of the task force deployed survived. But it was another thing that bothered Octavius, April, his second born survived.
Well survived is a misnomer, she didn’t remember anything, her name, her age, she could speak and knew the region, but not that she’s a magician and her family or who Octavius is. This broke his heart, someone did this to his little girl; even though she was at odds with him and his methods, she was a good person and she had suffered much in her life because of him.
Clack. Octavius turned toward the door of this study, here was his butler, Edward; he didn’t look happy, something was troubling him. “Edward, what do you have for me?”
“Sir…” Edward walked up to Octavius and put his silver tray on the old man’s desk.
There was an unfolded laptop on it with a video ready to be played. It was a large file, at least 3Gb in size. “Let me watch the recordings.”
“Very well.” Edward pressed on the touchscreen and the video started.
The video gave him a view of the Windsor’s palace, it was in the point of view of the attackers Octavius realized as they started walking toward the guarded gates of the compound. They dispatched the guards with a form of telekinetic spell? All of them were turned into red mist and suddenly Octavius knew who was killing all these people. It was the same magic as Di Raizel!
The video continued to show the person who started the killing making their way through the building until they reached Prince Harry's bedchambers where the old man was cowering. The deaths were gruesome and looked easy, but the power exhibited scared Octavius.
The fight between the old Magician and the telekinetic was short and brief, they basically tore the CAD from his hand and threw him against the wall where he stayed stuck. It was a delicate finger which reached for Harry’s forehead, he stopped struggling and his eyes glazed over.
He fell from the wall on his feet and a cold female voice. "On all fours, pig."
Harry fell on his knee and put himself on all four. Then for the first time ever, the camera stayed fixed and a purple haired young woman with intense red eyes appeared. She was familiar, terribly so. A memory of a beautiful young girl with red hair and blue eyes superimposed with the young woman and Octavius recognized Melaina O’Donnell.
She sat on the back of Harry and crossed her legs, looking primly in the camera’s way. "Good."
Just like her father she looked cold and aloof as she addressed him. "Mister O'Neill, I am sure that this video will get to you in due time. You know who I am and I know who you are, I will not bother with any introduction.
I have been a bit busy taking down all the other families supporting you and the accomplices in the murder of my clan and my mother. You thought then to use me like some kind of broodmare for your own dynastic plans. But as you took everything from me, I shall be repaying in kind. I will take from you your power."
The video suddenly changed and split into multiple windows and showed vaguely familiar buildings and holdings belonging to… the O’Neill family. He recognized his cottage in London, his mansion in the Hamptons and the ancestral house of the O’Neill, the video cut out again to show him a scene full of horror. The previous normal feed was replaced with a swath of viscous red - splashed blood and viscera that might once have been human coating every centimeter of the camera's view.
Blood red geometric constructs made of energy which were the sure sign of activation sequences appeared over the buildings and a large construct made of metal the size of a truck hovered over them and broke down to divide into multiple stakes surrounding all those holdings. They shot toward them with thundering sounds and…
Booom! Destroyed everything, creating large holes, killing everyone inside. It never stopped, large explosions occurred, then an even larger magical sequence formed and all the buildings were simply gone as if they'd been erased, leaving only a large crater. Octavius’ heart broke and fury rose, making his blood boil.
The windows with all the videos disappeared, returning to Melaina's cold visage. "Do you like what I've done with the places?" a frigid false-cheer clung to every word, sickly with sarcasm and vicious with venom, "Money, artifacts, weapons, human resources... all so nicely redecorated. I always knew crimson was my color."
A pulse of harsh laughter, twisted with ironic mirth, seared into the back of his neck like needles of ice.
"Aww, even your dear, cherished daughter is bathed in my bloody crimson. Why, with such a gift, she won't know you nor bother to care anymore. Truly fitting, don't you think?"
The rage and fear rising up from his throat was abruptly cut off by a cylinder of metal bursting through his windpipe, pinning him back to the ground and choking his lungs with blood.
His panic rose when that blood froze, sealing his throat like a facsimile of a sponge, destroying his voice to naught but a whimper.
"Pathetic... You know, I even thought about stopping after claiming all that you valued. I thought to let you live a life of banality and panic as you fumble around in your incompetence. But at this point what I want hardly matters, you alone just Cannot. Satisfy. My. Bloodlust. I need more. What hate you have for me barely scratches the surface of the wrath you have unearthed. Without a proper... outlet, this hatred of mine will be left too long unsatisfied.
One way or another, I have killed everyone you've ever loved, with a certain satisfaction I might add. However, I’m not done taking from you. You still have things to be taken from… I will steal and kill your entire legacies, your family will disappear into the annals of history. Women, men, children, it doesn't matter, they will die for what you've done to me. I am coming for you, Octavius O'Neill. Then perhaps when I finally destroy you, and bind you in the darkness and hell where you belong to suffer for as long as I deign permit; only then I *might* be free of this hatred in my heart."
The video cuts when the girl rises from her seated position on the royal heir and turns Harry into blood mist with a snap of her fingers. Octavius sat on his chair, took off his glasses and put his face into his hand and groaned mournfully from his mangled throat. Tears escaped the old man’s eyes and his butler put a hand on his shoulder in comfort.
Then his resolve steeled, he would give the girl what she wanted a war to the knife. He was aware that he was at fault that he forced Melaine O’Donnell in this position but why did she have to involve the rest of his family? Doing what he did turned the girl into a monster seeking to kill him and everything remotely connected to him.
Boom!
Shhhhhhhhh.
The mansion trembled, the candelabra over his desk shook and the lights flickered. "Bollocks, she’s already here."
Edward pressed Octavius for directions. "Your orders, sir?"
Octavius pulled the drawer of his office desk, pulled the blood red pistol shaped CAD from it’s charging station and he looked the old butler in the eyes. "Ready for battle, old friend."

Back with Melaina…
O’Neill Compound
20 minutes before
I looked at the walls surrounding the compound, there were guards everywhere. It was all heartening to be taken seriously! I reached for the military grade CAD I stole from April O’Neill in the form of a pistol with a short muzzle; it was a Taurus Silver model.
It was slightly better than my pocket watch model, so I had to tune and calibrate it for my use. Were all other Magicians so weak? The settings were all on low, my favorite spells were all Acceleration, Convergence, Dispersion, Speed, Absorption and Oscillation type magic; the electromagnetic magic was my signature and personal magic.
In my mind, I started building up a magic formula. The activation sequences formed rings filled with geometric forms, chemicals and mathematical symbols. The hologram of my observation formula materialized before me, showing me wind speed, locking onto the perceived weakness of the walls of the compound. A huge area in red was highlighted on the holographic representation of the O'Neill compound.
"Spatial coordinates identified."
Defensive walls may offer great psychological comfort, but they rarely work. The chief weakness of defensive walls has always been that where there’s a will, there’s a way round. *Or through.*
My magical energy started building up around me. "Capacitors charging, 10%, 30%, 60%, 90%... 100%. Magical energy in the chamber within normal parameters, no overload detected."
The military grade CAD glowed with red particles circling its muzzle. A blood red magical circle came into existence in the sky as the activation sequence of her artillery formula came into being.
"EXPLOSION!!" The casting device was overheating as a thermobaric flame emitted from the barrel.
A large barrier activated, stopping momentarily the detonation, however it wasn't enough to stop my bombardment spell. Like a dome of glass, the barrier shattered into millions of pieces. Shhhhhh!
BOOOOOOM!!!!
The first thing to go were the guards, then the walls and the expansive garden around the property. It’s too bad for O’Neill that I had been working on this explosion spell to bomb him. I had intended to escape before and use guerilla tactics to take out his people, but now that I am a noble? It was way more satisfying to pull the trigger myself.
The CAD's muzzle overheated and the advanced polymer-plastic melted, forcing me to let go of it. I observed it while making it float with my TK. It seemed that the formula was too powerful; fuel-air detonations were too much for this. I guess I really needed to make a specialized CAD for bombardment spells.
I threw away the damaged CAD, Next time I will buy another of the same make. FLT had earned its reputation for quality arms. I slowly descended from the sky, my active barrier coming online as I maintained the magic sequence in my mind; it was becoming easier to memorize spells and store them. It must be because of the Archmage Essence, since it did provide perfect memory with infinite storage.
Looking at the destruction of part of the compound, I walked while avoiding the ruined path. I hoped that this would be a lesson for someone going against me. That lesson being that passive defenses are rarely a match for a determined gal like myself. Instead of hiding behind walls, a defender sometimes must actively engage and disable enemy forces before they strike—rather than afterward, when it is too late.
There was no resistance, no one to stop me from entering through the mansion’s door. It was a palatial foyer which greeted me, the paintings and the statues were all crooked or smashed on the floor though. I couldn’t have that, I sucked them out into my blood portals. I was giving too much work to my maids, maybe the Home needed to get more of them to me, this time looking like the cast of Infinite Stratos. We shall see if the girls will be there when I come back Home.
I felt minds converging fast toward me, my Barrier intercepted a fireball, an ancient magic spell which could even work underwater. My Barrier Formula still protected me from it and I was also cheating with my TK to reinforce it. With my telekinesis I batted away the three men coming at me. While they threw weight and oscillation type magic at me, I dismantled them by lunging at them and piercing them with my hands, bypassing their body armor magic armors.
I just conjured some Air Bullets at the rest who kept on coming, AOE spells were the go to in this case. Death came for them, heads exploded, hearts were shattered and limbs were flying all over; my barrier spared me from being covered in blood. I created aura platforms to not have to walk on the blood and guts covered marbled floor. I stole all their gears and cremated them with my Melta formula; the smell bothered me a bit. I am a stickler to rule number 13 of the Overlord’s list: All slain enemies will be cremated, or at least have several rounds of ammunition emptied into them, not left for dead at the bottom of the cliff. The announcement of their deaths, as well as any accompanying celebration, will be deferred until after the aforementioned disposal.
“What are you doing? Kill her!! She’s just one girl!” I heard the voice of Octavius coming from the study room on the third floor.
It was hard to not laugh at the obvious rule breaking of the list. Rule number 20: Despite its proven stress-relieving effect, I will not indulge in maniacal laughter. When so occupied, it's too easy to miss unexpected developments that a more attentive individual could adjust to accordingly. On my observation formula HUD, I used another formula which was superimposed to provide me with thermal imaging. I saw through the walls and the ceiling.
I took my pocket watch, opened the protecting lid and started typing the Magical sequence which will speed up my reunion with Octavius. I pressed enter, which took time to construct the complex magical sequences that would become homing lasers. Twenty convergence electrolaser beams launched from behind me, they turned from an azure color to a deep red as they shifted frequency and were fed more magical energy.
They pierced the walls and the ceiling, killing each of the people still hiding or waiting to ambush me. I ambushed them first, why would they think that I can't? This isn't Die Hard. It hurt to damage all those precious artifacts around me, there was some truly unique stuff from the Iron Age on the walls, like this Athame with an iron blade. While admiring the art, I deployed a Magic Interference formula by spreading high-density PSION to jam radio and video communications.
I don’t want people to see me open the portals; weapons, masks, frescoes, down the blood portal it goes. "Let it go, let it gooooo!"
Everything was being siphoned into the crimson vortex. "Can't hold it back anymore."
I finished killing the goons that were in hiding, only two were left in the study on the highest floor. My Levitation Cloak brought me there and I continued to sing. "Let it go, let it gooooo!"
By scanning the door, I noticed that it was reinforced with multiple layers of magic sequences. I looked around in the room, looking for a weapon… and I found it, it’s a late 17th Century Katana, in its scabbard. It floated up to me and enchanted it by gripping on its handle and a red aura wrapped around the blade.
Those dumbos reinforced the door, but didn’t do so with the hinges. I sliced them and as they fell, I finished my song. I kicked the door. "Turn away and slam the door!"
SLAM!!! It fell inside the room and there were two people inside; but another eight or so men and women appeared when their visual interference spells fell. It didn’t matter how numerous they were or that they succeeded in ambushing me by blindsiding my observation formula -I need to patch the magic sequence after this- I still quipped, “Hello boys, I’m back!”
I recognized good ol’ Octavius and his butt buddy Edwards; the rest was inconsequential so they will be culled first. Octavius’ face was a mask of cold rage as he ordered, “Shoot her!”
No interference armor here, I will just tank it with my TK and divert the spells and bullets back to their casters with a guidance formula.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
The bullet and spells stopped in mid-air, “My turn.”
I did like a good Accelerator expy and… sent everything back to their casters and shooters. I opened my arms wide and two blood knives appeared in my hands. I entered into a stance and threw both of them at the two magicians left; one knife embedded itself into the forehead of the woman at octavius’ side, and the other into the man shoulder’s on the left. He launched himself at me, I caught him by his extended arm, stabbed him repeatedly with the Tanto in my hand and slammed him on the ground.
Crack. His neck broke, and his head was at a weird angle. I shrugged then looked at Octavius. "At last, we finally meet, old chap."
Octavius raised a crimson colored gun which reminded me of one of Alucard’s pistols and he fired repeatedly at me. BANG! BANG!
And for once, the bullets charged spell broke my barrier and ignored my TK shield; this was a weapon from my own family, this was my mom’s CAD! He dares steal from her?! I was shot in the flanks and shoulder blades, but the bullets didn’t penetrate my cloak. Octavius continued to fire while shouting, “Die! Die! Why don’t you die?!” The CAD ran out of battery.
I misquoted, “Beneath this cloak, there’s more than flesh, Mister O’Neill. Beneath this cloak is a hot banging body and all the pent up rage toward you that keeps me going.”
“Did you just quote V for Vendetta in this situation?” Octavius looked at me with disbelief.
I held onto my side, the bullet exited my flesh and my skin and muscles were knitting back together. “Ah, fudge, you got me good, old wanker. Bullet still hurts, huh.”
Octavius just broke rule number 20 and started laughing maniacally. “You should have stayed in your cage, like a good little girl. I didn’t want to take your life, you forced my hand Melaina.”
He raised the gun shaped CAD to my head. He stumbled back when he looked into my eyes. “Don’t call me by my name, O’Neill. Do you think this little flesh wound is going to stop me? Nothing can, not you, not your toy soldiers and certainly not that stolen CAD in your hand.”
He cocked the pistol, an activation sequence starting to take shape. “Bollocks, what are you gonna do, huh? You’ve got nothing left, I’ve seen all your tricks.”
“Oh really?” My tone was saccharine. I let go of my side, showing that it was completely healed. “First this isn’t your Foci.”
My mom’s CAD was blood locked, when I reached out for it, it jumped from Octavius’ hand into mine. SNATCH! And I dropped it back into the Home’s pocket dimension.
“My gun!” My nemesis cried out.
I looked at Edwards, his eyes glazed over and then he backhanded Octavius. SLAP! The old man fell on the ground, looking at the man who took care of him and his family for the last forty years in disbelief. “Edward?! What are you doing?”
Old Edwards raised his pistol and cocked it and shot my nemesis’ limbs. BANG! BANG! BANG!
Step. Step. Step. I stopped next to him, pulled one of my mom’s primrose; I specifically ordered it from her favorite shop. I crouched next to the man and whispered, “Like I told you, this was always going to end in your death, Mister. I have something for you, Mister O'Neill. A farewell gift, for all the things you've done and you might have done and for everything you've got left."
I placed the rose in his vest. "Goodbye."
I looked at the butler, he was resisting my control, but I tightened my hold onto his mind. "Please proceed, Mister Hall."
Edward Hall raised his pistol and fired at Octavius. Bang!

(Cadis Etrama Di Raizel)
Only for the bullet to stop in the air, just shy of piercing Octavius’ forehead. The atmosphere stilled and a large pressure engulfed the study. A blood portal formed between Melaina and Octavius, separating them. The entire room became a crimson red, until an elegant and attractive man with a cold expression exited the portal. He was clothed all in black with his shirt having golden trim and a golden tie held by a ruby brooch that he adjusted.
Rai looked around him and his ruby colored eyes fixated on the downed form of Octavius O’Neill, a growing pool of blood spreading from under his body. He looked at his side to see the girl who was the cause of so much death and he was struck by how much she looked like his late wife; only her hair and eye colors were different. She has grown beautiful and powerful, but to him she would forever look like that redheaded little missile that kept pursuing him and hanging onto his shoulders. He smiled and said with warmth, "Melaina."
When he said her name, the amoral killer and sociopath disappeared as if she hadn’t existed; her emotion turned from cold to volcanic, as if winter was slowly giving way to spring.
"Daddy?" She questioned, then he opened his mind to her and let the extent of his feelings be known, love, care, affection, missing, longing, anger at her being ripped away from him, protection, safety. The girl floated up and as usual since she has become mobile at one year old flash stepped toward him and collided full force with Rai.
He felt Melaina’s power, she is strong; on par with him and as he looked deeper. No wonder she slaughtered all those humans with ease, but she had no control. His daughter was plagued with the same problem as his first born, Brigid. Rampant sociopathy, megalomania, extreme mood swing. He will have to act fast to contain her, he could see that she was smart and sealed a large part of her power and was in control of the rest.
She won’t have to enter a healing sleep. Maya should be able to hold her into one of her facilities; it hurt him to have to do so, but Melaina was now a noble and duty bound to be in control at all time. Rai then noticed the holes in Melaina’s dress, her cloak was also peculiar as it mended itself right under his eyes. Rai’s eyes focused on her wounds, "Who hurt you?"
His daughter flinched away from him; an edge of coldness spread in the room. Rai turned toward the bleeding form of Octavius. "Was it him?"
The pressure in the room rose again, the mind controlled human holding the gun let his weapon go and fell on the floor and began to seize and enter cardiac arrest. Melaina became amused by what just happened, she was still glued to him as if she wasn't intending to let go of him. Her mother had done pretty much the same with him to protect him from hussies, whatever those were.
Melaina stepped away from him briefly but still held onto his arm as she asked,"Why are you here? Not that I am not happy to see you…"
"I've come to get you back, to bring you where you belong. At my side, Melaina."
There was a fluttering feeling coming from his daughter at his word. She hugged him again, "I've dreamed so much about this moment. Please if it is a dream, don't let me wake up."
His heart went to her, he moved her hand to his chest, to feel his heartbeat. "Feel me, this is real, Melaina."
"I love you, daddy. But you can't go around robbing women's hearts like this." Rai tilted his head, not understanding what she meant; it caused Melaina to sigh and change the subject. "But you still evaded the question. Tell me why are you here."
"To stop you from going too far, my daughter. The other noble might condemn you for what you've been doing." She let go of him, her mood went cold again, the amoral killer was back.
"Too late, father. I killed them all and I don't regret it." Her tone was wintry and joyful.
Rai suddenly didn't see his daughter before him but his twin brother, the man who had gone too far and had started a genocide. He knew how to handle people such as that, he needed to make her submit to make her understand that she was stealing his kill. Noble instincts were different from human ones. That's the unfortunate truth.
The Noblesse's eyes turned to Octavius who was awake, he was using healing magic to treat himself. "If someone needs to kill him it's me. You can't take it away from me."
Melaina’s anger cooled suddenly, her expression became thoughtful. Octavius has to die for his daughter to regain her sanity. A sacrifice that Rai was willing to pay. "You've got a point there, father. But I don't care, you weren't here, he is my mark now."
This won't do, let's pander to her competitive side. Rai lifted his fist and said, "Jankenpon?"
This was the children's game she was the best at, the girl always won even against people such as Frankenstein or her mother who had a form of precognition. She glared at him, she cloaked herself in a blood field with good control. "You dare think you can win against me now?"
Rai smiled at her and cockily said, "Chicken?"
Her glare intensified as she huffed, "Fine. I will humor you."
Melaina raised her dainty hand and began changing, "Jan, Ken, Pon!"
Rai cheated, and used super speed to change his stone to a scissors and Melaina used paper. She wasn't in her right mind to play mind games.
"You cheated!" Melaina raged and slapped his hands.
The Noblesse didn't feel anything, it was like ant bites. "Sore loser?" Rai smiled ruefully.
She harrumphed. "Do whatever you want. I am done with this."
Her mood changed again as she returned to hugging him, Rai passed an arm around her delicate waist. Melaina visibly relaxed.
Rai turned to Octavius who was finally looking better, the man stared at the two as if he could kill them with his glare.
"Octavius." Rai greeted the man.
The old man said in an accusatory tone, "Why didn't you tell me? Your spawn killed everyone, my daughter doesn't even recognize me anymore."
Rai raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "Why should I have? But why not? Do you know that people with my bloodline often awaken the same abilities as me at 16? Even more so when they're late bloomers and one of their parents was human. What happened here, it was bound to happen. Do you remember? I've told you that you'd come to regret scheming against me and mine."
This was the longest sentence Melaina had heard him utter. He crouched next to Octavius, the bullet he had stopped earlier was still in the air, drilling and displacing air. It menacingly moved next to Octavius' head. "I thought that we had understood each other, but no. You couldn't live with your failure and you took Aoife from me, you stole her from me, you killed her. Now I am going to kill you in turn and take everything you were and burn it to ashes."
"Get in line." Octavius mirthlessly laughed and stared at Melaina who already did all this.
Bang! "Gakh!" The bullet drilled into his head and it popped like a watermelon.
Rai sniffed and turned to his girl who looked impressed. "I like your style, father."
Rai winked. "Thank you, my dear. Now that he is dead, let's raid his home."
The Noblesse looked at everything in the study. Melaina giggled. "So that's where I get it from."
Rai idly said as if he was getting lost in remembrance, "Your mother and I were avid Dungeons and Dragons players. The loot is important."
Melaina seemed to do the same, she remembered the time they played games on her mother's computer. Clare had been a gamer. Melancholy filled Melaina’s heart so much that she came to hug her father again. "I missed you daddy."
He returned her hug and said, "And I you."
Rai felt how bone tired she was, Melaina only was awake because she's so stubborn, just like Aoife.
[Sleep.] He commanded in a whisper in her ear.
"Fa…ther?" Her body went slack against him as she fell in morpheus' embrace.

(Frankenstein)
“My Lord.” Frankenstein bowed his head as his Lord exited the blood portal. In his arm was Melaina, his second Master. The girl looked so calm and beautiful as she slept like one of those princesses of old sleeping away a curse making them dormant.
The blonde man noticed the holes in her bodice and frowned. Cadis Etrama Di Raizel reassured him. “She’s well, Frankenstein; but it’s obvious that she hasn’t been this relaxed in a long time.”
Frankenstein’s heart broke at seeing his goddaughter so exhausted and suffering expression. “Living in a hostile environment will do that to you.”
He needed to do a check up on her, to know more of her current condition.
“Seira.” His lord called for the female of their group.
Seira has pale skin and silver hair, which people have concluded to be natural, as it looks too real to be dyed or to be a wig. She has scarlet eyes, a common trait among nobles. She has been noted for her beauty by many different people, including other nobles. In the human world, she wears her school uniform with some additional 'elegant' embellishments, and always looks neat and tidy. While representing nobles, she always dons an elegant black attire with emblems symbolizing nobles.
Seira bowed before him and primly asked, “Yes, Sir Rai?”
“I’m entrusting her to you, if anything happens to her…” The Noblesse threatened.
The Clan leader stood up and took Melaina from the Noblesse's arms. “I would die before it happened, us the Raizel Knights only wish to regain our honor. We won't fail you again, my Lord.”
He nodded. “Bring her back to the plane.”
Rai opened a blood portal, and Seira immediately entered it. The Noblesse turned to Regis the other clan leader in his retinue. “Regis, kill anyone trying to stop you.”
Regis has striking crimson eyes and swept back silver hair with black streaks on either side. He dresses formally in suits and wears a jabot with the Ye Ran High School uniform. He is rather short for his age. The clan leader bowed. “Yes, my Lord.”
He turned heel and followed Seira; the portal closed behind him. Frankenstein looked at where the portal had been, then turned to Rai. "Is she sane? Does she need to sleep?"
Rai averted his eyes and started looting the study. "No, she's just antsy."
Frankenstein looked at Rai with disbelief. "Antsy? Forgive me my Lord, but you call the massacre of all 4 magicians' families in the United Kingdom a mistake? What I saw was premeditated and brutal, Master. She opened those people to war and economic downturn. She's not fine, and then there’s the Clan Leaders; they will want assurances that you can control your progeny, master."
Rai turned to Frankenstein and glared, bloodlust filling the room. "They would dare? No one touches my little girl, no one!"
His eyes started glowing and Frankenstein started to fear for his life. He raised his hands in placation, "Yes, they will master, remember what happened to me?"
With a sigh, Rai resolved to go to his go to solution. "I will seal part of her abilities…"
Frankenstein nodded, he agreed that the girl wasn't mature enough for her full power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. "To Seira level at least, she should be safe this way."
Seira was the strongest female clan member after Lady Erga Kenesis Di Raskreia, the current Lord of Lukedonia. Rai began thinking about it, and finally nodded. "You may be right, Frankenstein. I shall sell the idea to her."
Knowing Melaina, she’s not going to like it. Power was like a drug to some newly awakened Noble. Then Frankenstein thought about a pressing issue, "My Lord, what about your new spouse? Is she going to be a… problem?"
He feared the Yotsuba's house would get flattened, his current lab was there. Rai smiled, an expression that had only recently returned to him since he married Yotsuba Maya, the conniving fox… "Maya is going to try to get along with her. I believe in her."
Frankenstein harrumphed. "I hope she does a better job than she did with the Shiba siblings…"
Her handling of their father's betrayal showed that the woman still had much to learn. Whether she wanted it or not, by accepting Melaina in her family, Maya invited the scrutiny of the supernatural world on her. The girl had annihilated a country's Magician force by herself, this wasn't something which could be hidden.
