Oops, worked into the night again. 11.975MHz #4

Just a few hours late posting this issue, sorry about that.

Fun fact, around 10 years ago I was sitting at my desk drinking a beer and reading /x/ on 4chan when I came across this new thing going on there called "SCP".  This was when others on /x/ were picking a number and posting their contribution.  Mine was SCP-079, which is an AI that existed on an old Exidy Sorcerer microcomputer.  The reason for this particular brand and model of computer was because it used a Z-80 CPU, of which has been a long-running joke between me and my friends. (We also left a first-gen Apple Macintosh at the Very Large Array. That's a story for another time.) Anyway, something to note about the Z-80, it lacked a multiply instruction; you had to load a value and shift it to the left instead. Kinda like a proto-RISC.

Now, hardly anyone purchased these comics I'm posting here, but Akagi^2 took off like I never expected and that was after only a few hour's work. Writing and submitting SCP-079 took me about 15 minutes and two beers. Each of these issues took me at least 6 months each. A few years ago I ran across a video about SCP-079 that had nearly a million hits on Youtube.  There's a lesson here.

Anyway, the reason I'm bring this up is because the Z-80 CPU is pivotal to this issue of the comic, in particular the variant that was developed in the early 90's that ran at ridiculous speeds, probably the fastest production 8-bit CPU ever made.

I probably won't make any Z-80 jokes in Akagi^2. Enjoy.
