Chapter 17 [Bambi's Omega Adventures In A Post Apocalyptic World]

Apollo sat perched on top of the pile of rocks, his expression calm and stoic as he watched his army of Betas search the city for Bambi. His black suit and tie gleamed in the sunlight, a stark contrast to the destruction that surrounded him. He had always been a man of luxury, and even now, in the midst of chaos, he refused to let go of his lavish lifestyle.
As he sat there, his mind wandered to Bambi, the elusive Omega that he had been hunting for weeks. He couldn't help but smile at the thought of his stunning blue eyes, eyes that he longed to possess for himself. Apollo had always been an Alpha who desired power and control, and to have Bambi under his command would only solidify his dominance.
But just as quickly as his thoughts of Bambi came, so did the memory of his destroyed tracker. Apollo's mood soured at the thought, frustration and anger burning inside him. Who could have done such a thing? He knew Bambi was intelligent enough to not have destroyed the tracker himself. So who was behind it?
His cold, golden eyes scanned the ravished city below, watching as his army of 50 Betas scurried around, tracking the elusive omega, Bambi. As he began to list down possible theories, his mind kept coming back to one conclusion - it had to be an external force. Someone who was also keeping an eye on Bambi, someone who wanted to hinder Apollo's plan to capture the Omega. Or perhaps, someone who had a vendetta against Apollo himself.
Apollo's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. He turned his head to see Eva, his right-hand woman, approaching him with a look of urgency on her face.
“Alpha Apollo, we have a witness report,” she said, her voice filled with excitement.
Apollo turned to her, his face a mask of controlled calm. 'Report,' he commanded in a low voice.
Eva nodded, her black hair cascading down her shoulders as she spoke. “One of our informants reported seeing Bambi in the outskirts of the city. They claim to have seen him with an Alpha female, dressed in complete black with red eyes.”
Apollo's heart skipped a beat at the mention of a red-eyed Alpha female. His mind immediately went to the only other Alpha that could challenge his authority, his only remaining opposition. A name popped into his mind - a tall, female Alpha with scarlet red eyes. He had made sure to get rid of all his enemies, except for her. She was a powerful and cunning Alpha, always one step ahead of him.
“Cleo. . .”
Eva gulped at the mention of that name. That name would strike fear into the hearts of anyone in Apollo’s Cove. After all, in all their conquests and victory, a single woman, a single Alpha was the only one that stopped them.
No, it was more precise to say that she had let them live. That day, Eva remembered that day vividly. Under the moon, the only light in the night, all she could do was watch as a single female Alpha stood atop of her Alpha, her feet on his chest as her deep, scarlet eyes shone in power.
Eva really didn’t want to have to fight that monster if possible.
Apollo, on the other hand, kept calm. He thought to himself. Yes, Cleo was powerful, very, very powerful and also someone who had beaten him half a year back, but that was when he was young, weak, at least a lot weaker than he was now.
Before Cleo was strong, she was smart. And, she should be smart enough to know how strong Apollo had grown since then.
Why would she take such a stance against him now? Why provoke him when he had grown undeniably stronger if all she wanted was to live a quiet life?
But more importantly, why would she be with Bambi? And more importantly, why would she destroy his tracker on the omega? Apollo's thoughts raced as he tried to make sense of the situation. He couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that washed over him.
“Gather our strongest Betas. We’ll investigate the outskirts of the city, into the woods,” Apollo said. “I’ll follow along.”
“And, don’t worry about that old bitch,” Apollo’s eyes glew gold. “I’ve been meaning to have a rematch with her.”
Eva nodded, knowing better than to question his orders. She quickly relayed the information to the team, as she prepared for the inevitable fight with the Alpha that nearly wiped them out by herself half a year back.
Apollo looked up to the wide, blue sky, as if searching for answers. His mind went back to Bambi and the intense desire he felt for the omega.
Bambi's eyes were a deep, endless blue, just like the sky. Apollo couldn't help but imagine the look on his face when he finally caught him. The thought alone sent chills down his spine and a shiver of excitement ran through his body.
He couldn't wait to claim Bambi as his own, to possess him in every possible way. As an Alpha, he was used to getting what he wanted and Bambi was no exception.
But as he thought of Bambi, he couldn't shake off the bitter taste in his mouth. His tracker on the omega had been destroyed, and now he was pretty sure that it was the old bitch that did it.
“Cleo. . .” Apollo muttered underneath his breath, with disgust.
She had always been a thorn in his side, constantly trying to undermine him and nearly wiping out his Cove half a year back simply because of something he said. Then, a wave of cold air washed over his head.
Wait, how long was she watching him? How long was she there, spying on him? After all, she had to be there to know that he was searching for Bambi.
Did she know? Know about Bambi’s Trait?
Apollo couldn't ignore the possibility, but he couldn't bring himself to believe that she knew Bambi’s secret. No, he didn’t want to believe in it.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of footsteps approaching. He turned to see Eva once again, this time with a look of concern on her face.
“Alpha Apollo, I have gathered the team as you’ve ordered,” she said, her voice shaking with anger. “They are awaiting further instructions.”
Apollo's eyes narrowed as he listened to her words. He looked down from his position to see that ten Betas, who were all equipped with wonderfully strong Traits had been prepared, kneeling down for him to give his order.
“Capture the Omega,” Apollo said, getting up.
“Find him and bring him to me,” he growled, his voice laced with fury. All the Betas suddenly perked up, before turning around and rushing towards the Woods without hesitation.
“Come with me, Eva,” Apollo said, as he dusted himself off before jumping a couple hundred meters with his superhuman strength. “We’re going to hunt a bitch.”
Eva nodded, not needing any further instructions. She knew exactly what to do, before following behind her Alpha.
As Apollo ran towards the woods, his thoughts turned back to Bambi. He couldn't let his feelings for the omega distract him from his mission. Cleo was still a threat, and he needed to deal with her before he could claim Bambi as his own.
Apollo knew he had to find a way to win Bambi's trust and show him that he was not like other Alphas. He wanted Bambi to see him as more than just a ruler, but as a mate and equal.
He closed his eyes, picturing Bambi's beautiful face and endless blue eyes. A sudden wave of determination washed over him. He would do whatever it takes to make Bambi his, even if it meant facing his greatest enemy.
