2024-05-13 12:00:47 +0000 UTCStory-wise definitely! If Aemula and the Deathsquad Hunters had discussed their traumatic experiences in slavery and with Hartia a bit more to really build up their fears before the cathartic moment, it could also have been plot-wise, I think.

2024-05-13 08:18:08 +0000 UTCFor all the murderer, theft, rape, and such like that comes in video and literature, I can't help but feel that humanity in general has finally formed a true prejudice against slavery of all things. While I tend to agree, where slavery is concerned, I'm not a fan of the rest. That said, for me at least, this might be the first truly meaningful chapter of the series that I have read since she moved to the nether-thingy.

2024-05-12 21:55:31 +0000 UTCmeh there will probably be no major battles, the other legions are lead by like two primevals each, salvos should be able to solo the leaders then they just unlock the collars of that legion(legions that haven't been tortured by hartia so will probably be more willing) and then those that want to join join and they move on to the next legion, probably none of them are actually gonna be helping in the fighting

2024-05-12 20:43:17 +0000 UTCHonestly, as scared as they are of Hartia, if I were Salvos I'd be more scared of going to a major battle with those guys. Imagine facing an army that is supposed to back you up, including 3 people you spent quite a bit of time with, you ask "who is ready to trust me?", and you can hear the crickets, then only one person very reluctantly says "yes". Those are the people you have to trust with your life if you're wounded or otherwise incapacitated in battle. Fuck, I have chills just thinking about it. On the other hand, Hartia obviously didn't even think about killing them, he's just complaining because being locked in the corruption cube sucks, especially after he agreed to help and left Regnorex. But IMO he still needs to have that catharsis where he understands that following Regnorex turned him into a horrible beast of a person, and that he was ready to just kill everybody for a tactical advantage hours ago.
