Hey friends, returning to the real world after 4 months in Hawaii where I spent my time immersed in yoga, dance, creating art and exploring nature and new friends. It's always a culture shock coming back to the "mainland" where I live part time in California. I'm catching up on edits and finally going to share the magic that I captured while I was in Hawaii. Here are some shots I took, literally minutes before driving to the airport. I originally had a vision of getting my friend free and naked on her scooter, driving down this special road, hair blowing in the wind. But we did this instead, for now. A lot of people who know and love this island are very familiar with this road, the trees are iconic, and they know exactly where this is. It used to be called the Red Road because it was upaved and made of red dirt. I wish I could have seen it. I'm so grateful to have some special art made out of this place dear to my heart.
