About 0.12
Added 2019-03-02 17:05:10 +0000 UTCWe had gigantic plans for this month, and it looks like this time we might have gone too far in few places :) We had to do insane amount of work in order to implement all new locations and characters, which was a necessary foundation for future content and will be used by both Kate and Max. And of course we couldn't just copy old content, image quality improved too much, old images would stood out like a sore thumb. Plus, as I've already mentioned before, in most situations Glamour uses sprites and not full screen images.
Unfortunately, the amount of work needed for the villa means we couldn't lay the foundation AND add new content in one month. So we were forced to either make a version that would leave some of this work for the future versions and still would be light on content, or we could rip the proverbial band-aid and have one version with basically no events and dialogues, but it would only be one version.
That's what we went with. We spent the entire month on the foundation and now that it's done, we can focus on adding new content in the future.
Let's talk about what exactly we were doing this month. Now that Max is free to walk around locations, you'll be able to see all characters going around their business. The lightning will depend on the time of day, they'll be wearing different clothes, there will be close ups. In some situations we went even further and you'll be able to see some things from different angles. For example, while Alice is asleep, Max will be able to take off her her top, panties and the skirt (all of them are independent, so you can keep on one or more of them if you want) and then look at her from different angles. Same goes to Lisa (she only has two pieces of clothing, but the general idea is the same). There will be an option to look at sleeping Ann from two different angles. Same goes with Kira. Max will be able to take off her panties too.
Besides day and night, the lightning will also depend on local sources like the projector in the living room and the kitchen light.
The bathroom can be occupied by several people at the same time. For example, two people can be taking a shower, and a third person might be taking a bath. Same goes to the pool and TV. You'll be able to close up on people sunbathing and swimming in the pool. They'll have different swimsuits, too. Characters will be busy cooking, washing dishes, sitting in their phones and many other actions. Breakfasts and dinners will have some variation in the food. Someone might be late or maybe someone didn't have enough time to change before breakfast — all of this is already in the game and works as intended.
We're also working on ability to spy through the cameras installed around the house. Maybe we'll be able to implement it in the Max's laptop for 0.12.
All this work took all of our time and we didn't have enough time on new dialogs and events, but the graphics are already done. Some of the images are already implemented in the game, too, so even though we had to postpone our planned 0.12 content, proper implementation shouldn't take too long because it's already partially done.
Since 0.12 will be, em, light on new events, we've decided to let Max do things he shouldn't be able to do yet, story-wise. I'm talking about undressing different characters around the house, peeking from different angles, etc. In the future all of these will be implemented as events.
For example, Max won't be able take off Lisa's clothes in the very beginning of the game without getting slapped in the face, and Alice's reaction will be even worse. By the way, in the future there will be ways to see whether characters will allow Max to try something like this or should he back off for now. Normally, peeking through the spy cameras won't be available without buying and installing them first. In order to see Lisa in a transparent swimsuit first Max will have to buy a swimsuit, learn about the way to make it see-through, get the required item and use it on the swimsuit. But not in 0.12. In 0.12 Max will have "god mode" and will be able to do all these things right away.
We couldn't implement all these as proper events, but at least the foundation is ready and we won't have to spend our time on it in the future. And of course, bigger foundation allows us make a better game in the future.
Just like Max in 0.12, in 0.13 Kate will be able to move around the villa. Of course, we won't have to spend another month on giving her this functionality, so she'll have plenty of content in 0.13. She'll be able to interact with characters and participate in events. Kate will be able to stay overnight and she will finally be able to lose her virginity. And she wouldn't be able to do any of it without all the work we have put in 0.12. Without 0.12, Kate would still have to go through linear events, VN-style.

Вон, с Оскаром как они провели время, а его параметры вообще не изменились... с Андрю таже беда... Хотя про Оскара точно не помню, но вроде также всё и осталось. А толку давать контент в ноуте, который по факту будет мёртвым.

С минимальными затратами по производству графики и т.п. Пусть она создаст себе страничку в соцсети и всячески украшает и наполняет её, чат бот какой нибудь (потом всё это может пригодиться, а может и нет, неважно), "онлайн покер", пусть играет по маленькой ставке. И бесит, что её статистика по отношению к мужчинам/женщинам не меняется.

Я думаю, что DS стоило бы сделать "Путь подчинения" тоже желанным/выйгрышным для игроков, но в средне-долгосрочной перспективе с позиции женской хитрости, женских манипуляций, уловок и т.п.. Типа стратегической концепции - "Проигрывать сражение, чтобы выйграть войну" (тем более, что она девушка и ей психологически этот путь ближе). Все мы знаем, что сила дамы в её слабости ;) Этим и нужно пользоваться (как минимум). Нужно придумать что-то такое, чтобы отыгрывание "Пути подчинения" приносило игроку в сюжете свои резоны и выйгрыши, кроме банального просматривания adult-сцен.

Игра находится в стадии 0.11 и работы в ней ещё непочатый край, а вам подавай всё и сразу... Так не бывает. ..у нас, у русских, на этот счёт есть две хороших поговорки "Москва не сразу строилась" и "Всему своё время". Так что успокойтесь и ждите. Когда всё будет к этому готово, тогда и появятся ваши долгожданные продолжения :) Может и не все, но многие...

The post says the choice will be there for Kate to lose her virginity, who said it will be with Max?? Maybe it’s going to be Adam or Nick, maybe someone else even, I’m not going to assume anything until the next version comes out, just because there’s a choice to lose the V, doesn’t technically mean a player has to take that option, it’s a sandbox after all so nothing is going to be 100% linear. I just thought people would be less critical given there’s a whole support level who wanted a male lead but has got hardly anything so far, bit of give and take needed here. I just think supporters here need to be a bit more open minded and actually trust the game developer you’re obviously here to support......call DS everything but he keeps everyone up to date with future plans, regular teasers, polls on future content and ALWAYS delivers updates on time, while delivering a good quality product, give some credit where it’s due here, I’ve been here supporting DS since BB 0.3 which was a long while ago and I continued to support Glamour, not because of the product itself (which helps) but because I believe in team DS’s ability to provide a good product..... Every single concern mentioned above, the rest of the class stories, Julia, Nick, College, punishments, it’s all going to come with future updates, this game is far from completed and I think patience is needed because nowhere has it been said that ANY story arc has been shelved, it will come in future updates.

Now as for Kate I have no intention to drop Kate and as already discussed their is going to be a vote. Both the dedication for a month or alternating months have their pros and cons but the main point is Kate story continues. Now the reason for several story lines being on standby is due to once again due to a previous vote, we naturally decided on a more focused direction for the art to lead to more sex in the short term and getting back to story at a later date. As for the reason why we have a split between Max/Alex and Kate. I still standby my original vote to have a both male and female lead. While i'm adaptable a lot of people weren't happy with a female lead character and no great surprise now people aren't with Max taking the lead once a month either. As i said years ago its absolutely impossible for DS to create a game where everyone will be happy, in addition the only for DS to rapidly expand the Story line and cover all the events is to drastically reduce the art quality. By spending less time on the art creating more quantity over quality this would free up time to develop the story line. Effectively doing the exact opposite of what he is doing now. Personally one of the core reasons I supported DS is down to the art designs and the brilliant 3D characters. That said my fiances are finite and as much as I love DS work, the danger of a month long wait is you have time to check out other games. As yet i haven't found any other game that has DS level of art, real as possible Human characters and ability to keep me as engaged. DS current approach as long it continues to produce results isn't impeding my love of Glamour, nor its new hybrid design. I'm looking forward to the numerous new options this new direction has created for both Kate and the new Max direction.

Taking also some time for Max will maybe bring some of them back. I think it will be good if some of the updates will be about Max

I was a $40 patron for several months, but dropped down to a lower tier last month, and will likely drop it again if this continues. I don't look forward to it in the same way since so much focus was put on Max. I like that Alice is a key part of the game, but what about all of the other story lines? Kate won't take off her top in the backyard anymore, even though the mother said it was ok. She doesn't even have a functional cell phone yet! She did like a week of tutoring and agreed to move in with her teacher, but no follow up on that. And on and on and on.

It could be mentioned early or in a status to add a lot of spice. If she has to lose it in linear manner (like whole questine so far) in Max's home I damn hope it's with Eric.

None of this would have taken much more location development at all. I do appreciate that this new work will make new options available in the future, but you had a great set of story lines available and it seems that we just start up a new idea and it is left for some never to come future version. Without new content, I'll probably not download the next version and wait for .13

2019-03-02 17:57:02 +0000 UTCКак я вижу, DS сейчас хотят подтянуть (подтягивают) ту часть игры, которая идёт за Макса (ББ). Выровнять части (подтянуть ББ-шную), т.к. за Макса в DS сам сюжет игры уже понимают и с этой частью клиента (в плане разработки сюжета) уже не надо маяться. В ней нужна недостающая графика (75-80%) и желание реализовать потребность во внедрении новых графических, и технических наработок. Возможно, в DS хотели бы, чтобы обе ветки шли вровень.
