below is the first beta of Diet Audio, with the audio bit mostly done.
just have to make the ui and bug test.
what is diet audio?
its a spectral gate basically...
u can control the threshold and the release
the result's gain is accessible through the knob called "transients", and the gain of whats removed can be accessed through the knob called "the rest".
together they make the complete signal.
it has a pretty unique sound!
how may that be used?
some ideas:
as a splitter between transients and the rest in order to apply processing on one or the other
as a way to change the gain of the transients
as a crude noise reduction algorithm
with release at 0 and non-transients at 0, u can get a cool glithcy effect animating the threshold
but it can be used in plenty more ways with a bit of experimentation!
