Support

Some people keep asking us "What's the point of supporting Glamour if it's not mandatory?" Short answer is, you don't have to, but it helps. A lot. Here's the long version:

We are building a big, complicated and ambitious project. No one can build one of those in a day. A project like Glamour requires a proper foundation (engine, game mechanics, interface, etc). Originally we weren't going to show the game this early in the development, but Patreon kinda forced our hand here. We understand no one wants to play a tech demo and everyone would prefer to play a full game instead. Unfortunately, we can't just wish a complete game by clicking our heels three times, we have to actually do it the hard way and make one. And back-end part of making a game isn't very glamorous, not many people would care about us showing our code or something like "sprites of laptops in desks in the classroom". Once we lay down some basic foundation we can start working on adding more content to the game which will help with more interesting posts and updates.

Without your support, we'll never be able to realize our version of the game, we are making it for you. Of course we're not going to forget you. We remember your support, we moved on to online model so out patrons will get proper rewards: achievements, special rewards, most of content and more will be supporters-exclusive content.

By the way, we have a new member on our team. We now have a writer, who will work on the game's lore, consistency, world description, events and dialogs. This obviously means more text content, and since I don't have to do it anymore, I'll have more free time for 3D graphics. So, more text and more graphics content in the game.

People keep asking us why Glamour doesn't have any patreon-exclusive content in the game. Well, that's cause we don't have any yet. Once we're done with the minimum basics, we'll start working on content in parallel with game mechanics and you'll get your rewards, don't worry. Once we start adding content and you'll have an actual progress worth saving, we'll add an option to log in as a patron.

Since the game is still very early in the development, the game doesn't really have any playable content yet. And there's nothing we can do about it but to work as fast as we can on laying down the foundation so we can start working on adding content to the game. We're certain we can make a great game, but it's going to make some time.

He forgets to tell the supporters that part of the game must be downloaded each time you want to play and when saves come around they will be server side and not on the players computers. You must log in to his server to play each time you want to play. There are a lot of players who go to and internet cafe to download games then go home to play but not this game you must be contacted to the internet to play.

start creating something and very soon you're going to notice it's impossible to make everyone happy. No matter what and how you do, there would always be ppl who prefer if you would do this differently. You dont like female MC? A shame - but plenty of other ppl do. The old Glamour was certainly popular enough to be a proof of that.

Completely agree. I'm a developer IRL, so I know only too well that you need to put the infrastructure in place before you can add content. And I know that can frustrate the 'customer' because they don't know about all the hard work under the surface. It will come good in the end, and I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Of course, I'm only pledged at $1 for this very reason. :o) When proper content starts flowing, I'll bump that up.

so very important question that would make me go patron on this guy quick are there plans to let the player choose how to react to things like if the rules and such on campus are as you say unique do we get to choose if we see these things as ew and wrong or if we choose to just take stuff as it come and be more and more okay with it and perhaps choose how fast we want to be okay with it ? i love these games where you get to choose how you wanna react and take in these things and how fast you wanna do it :)

Why all the hate for a female MC? If anything there was too much MC schlong in BB. I've seen a lot of lesbian porn. I'm down to play a bisexual MC.

Anonamoose

I Love the female MC it offers an interesting perspective and take all the time you need DS congrats on the writer

EueO4 4 Likes understandable i like your way of thinking ^_^

FYI my withdrawn support had nothing to do with slow development - that is understandable. The reason is 100% an uninteresting game with a female MC. Visuals from previews are still as good as ever, hopefully you'll do an interesting game in the future.

I would support this game-- but I have very little interest in a female protagonist. I want to be able to insert myself into the story (like I did with Big Brother), and I cannot with this project. If the next game has a male lead, I'm all in.

Whatever you and your team offer up will be beyond genius so the wait will certainly pay off. I detest payreon and the mentality it employed to promote internet censorship in exchange for monetary consideration..but we are mired here so lets make the best of it while patreon still graciously permits us adult content. As for the malcontents...lots of thrown together games out there to occupy you until this release, click my profile and start digging. Keep on with it.

I would prefer to support Big Brother but oh well that ship has already sailed. Thanks Patreon.

I'm still happy I backed it this early. Played a few similar games over the years and something as simple as not needing to click the couch icon but click on the couch instead, shows me that you're thinking about these things and that it's not a quick cash grab. Keep at it, it's slow work, but most of us will be grateful I'm sure.
