Catching up... PAPF stuff, custom dolls, neocities & more

Ah, Patreon! The site that keeps me paying my gas and electric bill but is absolutely ass balls to use. Another gap in updates- Here I am apologizing again. As I type this there is a flashing sideboard ad asking me to "Make this a Drop" that is giving me a nauseating eye twitch... well, people have worked in worse conditions. Excuses, excuses!!!!! Happy new year. I've been working hard on promotional stuff for PAPF which is soon to go public- here, you can see it first! And even though I finished everything for the Special Edition in October, there was still a lot to do to get it sent to print. Working with editors, art directors, publishing and printing schedules is still a new challenge for me. A lot goes into it and not everyone along the way understands your vision. Sometimes your main breadwinner is someone else's little weekend side hussle! Well, you don't find passion everywhere you look. But I refuse to become dispassionate. I feel strong flames in my heart, both for indie press-- keeping it strong, weird and widely distributed, and for self publishing-- with it's immediacy, local organizing power, and zero barrier of entry or censorship (barring those hangups you may have in your mind ^.~). These flames burn brightly in no competition with each other, always fueling each other, and alongside love, food and sex-- my passion for life! I won't stop. It would be so dope to make a dressup game like this but tbh editing all the little images to fit and be transparent is HELL, because I prefer to draw them by hand.

My personal project these last few weeks has been finally customizing Pinkie Cooper Dolls to look like the REAL Pinky & Pepper ... Here's how they look rn, and I've attached some progress pics! My friend Hannah who is a dolly fashion expert is also crafting some comic-accurate clothes for them... I cant wait for it all to come together!! My ultimate plan is to shoot a stop-motion music video with these girls... but I actually have zero experience in that and have no idea how ambitious it is so DON'T TELL ME! I learn by experimentation!! But I totally appreciate all advice or tutorials haha :D I also need to make them some hair-ears... Dead Pinky in the bathtub just has wig hair shoved in her head holes, but I think I can do a little better than that, I'd also prefer them to not have to share wigs with the alternate universe Jet Set Pet girlies. (MY Pepper- With Tinsel? NEVER!) Heres a pic of my customs in progress (naked and bald/Pepper is in a jar lol) next to their clothed (restyled of course) "original" counterparts. The 2nd set of PinkyPep's were a gift from my friend and fellow indie comix/furry art crossover heads you may know, Remy Boydell. Here's a pic from Remy of what they looked like before she set them to me- I was a little sad to scrub Pepper's custom faceup (and it was actually literally challenging to get it off too lol) but I think I'll give her her XX pasties back in the spirit of her past!

I've also been really invested in building my neocities site so I've been learning a lot more about HTML and CSS.

I'm hosting a backlog of free comics and zines on there too. See how I'm slowly getting through them...?

Like many of us, I want to sever my dependency on social media apps like Instagram, where I do most of my online networking, because it's not an art site, it's a shopping app run by fascists. But, as the olde adage goes... women be shopping... and my T shirts are for sale again. Its an open preorder just until the end of the month (a few days left!), and some leftovers at future fests and at the Silver Sprocket shop.  Since they sold out so quickly last time I really hope the preorder will help people get it. The support makes a huge difference for us! Please order now if you wanna get one- we close the preorders on March 1.. or maybe till Sunday night march 2.... (SOON!!)

Upcoming fests... well, this is a tentative list. I recently applied for a passport in hopes to return to Toronto to nostalgically re-release Pinky & Pepper The Special Edition at TCAF, the same fest I debuted the first edition in 2018. Well, I hear it's not really the same fest, it's got different organizers and a new location. Still I'm hopeful. Things have changed a lot since 2018... we all think to ourselves, inserting whatever "big" year we had before... Anyway I am worried about my passport being withheld or being put on some kind of list on account of being a transgender american. Yes, the malaise has been getting to me, and some thoughts too personal for a blog post, however paywalled, that have been stewing for a while have been taking up a lot of my brainpower. I hope to explore this more in future comics that are bound to have even less marketability and appeal in this current world. Something tells me in 20-30 years though, a collection of my short comics surrounding transformation, oppression, and eroticism will be read by scholars and perverts alike as they stroke themselves/their egos thinking "this guy really got it!" Or maybe that's my own ego talking. Well that's being an artist I guess. I'm in a weird mood lately. I wrote two such scripts already this year- "Stable Girl" and "Double Flipper"... who knows when they'll see the light of day.

If I'm coming to your city or if you have a great fest I should know about, Please let me know! I would love to also plan to stop by local comic book stores while I travel to solicit my wares or maybe even plan readings? Thanks!!

I also am thinking about organizing fests again or teaming up with this other group I have been volunteering and tabling with, the Trans Joy Collective. I'm just too dastardly to rock with the name though- poll: should I get over myself? haha. My hourly comics this year heavily features this wonderful little group. I drew it all on Feb 1st like you're supposed to, but I haven't finished inking it before my hand got hurt. Here's the first page:

Well I'm here for Trans Joy, but also Trans Malaise, Trans Anger, Trans Confusion, Trans Sorrow, Trans Ennui... or not even caring about being trans and just being fired up enough to make something happen. I'm kind of detransitioning, but in this way that makes me more trans (more visible to others.. more mentally aware of it myself.. in other words I've been off T for a year and crossdressing, and looking clocky no matter how I dress...) buttttt I said I won't get TOO personal so I won't. For those who know me professionally, it's still he/him. But I've started also using she/her again "contextually".. I won't mind if you think of me as a type of girl/animal- as I move towards more authenticity in myself, and just enjoying being cuter. The choice to girlmode is just self-expression and comfort-seeking, not going back into the closet. I worry as we face more trans oppression and fear, many feel pressured to detransition for safety...well I wish us all safety, but to never abandon queerness, togetherness, or being OUT. Experiencing gender dysphoria on both sides of the coin has only confirmed my belief in unwavering autonomy for all- not by proof of some "true identity". This fight for freedom extends to abolition of all gendered documents, dissolving borders, dismantling prisons, freedom over our own bodies, health, and reproductive care, and ability to pursue our dreams before selling our souls, bodies and time to capital!! We all deserve it!! WITH ZERO QUALIFICATIONS!!! If I'm out here, living and fighting, I'm living and fighting for pursuit of truth, bodily autonomy and gay sex!!!! PHEW!
