MLP: FTM (the transmasculine mane six zine!)

Hello! I made a new zine, a big size 8 fold risograph zine with a fold out poster on the back (pictured first in print!) The rest of the images are the digital version of the arts, because unfortunately in between printing the poster backs, we took a break and when we came back, the risograph was not working. You can see in the last pic an attempted print, ithats one of the best ones that came out :( The owner of the printer suspects it’s a roller issue and is going to try to fix it, so I probably won’t have these zines ready in time for PZS in Portland this weekend. But I do have a bunch of the posters with misprints on the back so I’ll probably sell those for cheap or maybe just paste em up somewhere. They are printed on baby blue paper that ain’t showing up great in the photos btw.

I had a lot of fun drawing this and imagining the ponies as FTM, we have questioning/reaserching Twilight, checking out some classic lit as well as an archived collection of transgender zines and a book of gender spells. Do ponies take HRT or use unicorn magic to transition? Starswirl the Bearded recommends a regimen of both for maximum results!

Rarity’s gender inspo is the unicorn in captivity. He opts for a classic look with a long goatee and his hairstyle takes no sacrifices in transition, coiffed into a pomp~ His pet cat Opalescence bats around an empty T vial and ponders her own masculine potential..

Applejack is right at home applebucking with even more strength and comfort in his body :D

AJ and Rainbow attend Folsom Street Faire as newbies and peep other kinky trans ponies loving life. This was the most detailed scene and it took a while to draw and color.

Fluttershy is checking in with his boyfriend Discord about the size of his cock tonight! He’s still shy, but a lot more confident now. Discord is obviously a size queen and giving non-binary vibes in this pic I think lol

Pinkie sings Blur at karaoke while Twilight and Rarity cheer on! He’s sporting a septum and a Freddy Mercury stache. I had a lot of ideas for what song he would sing but this one fit with the gender theme the most.

It’s funny because I chose not to make them bipedal type anthros or give them clothes which leaves only subtle changes to denote their masculinity. It made me happy to think of the small ways we “tip the scale”- especially using a little pony as a starting point, something definitely girl coded.

I really hope my local friend can fix his risograph issue and we can print this zine, but for now I’m happy about the posters and the art I made, and if it doesn’t work out, I’ll get them printed somewhere else at a later date. I’m not too sad about not having this zine to debut at PZS because I actually made another zine too, “Otherqueer”, which I will share the pages here soon!
