For canvas you'd want a square for instagram [atleast I do] :: 2000 x 2000 or higher prefer, i know other artists ranges theirs up to 4000+
The size of your pen will depend on the canvas you want [ and also all pen on their are default, as in they come with the app as their most basic pens - nothing too special ]

Here are some artist mentions that use mentioned app and you can see their skills with using the app, whether mixed or solo. WHICH MEANS- If they where able to do it, you can too!
