Pick which movie we cover next!
Added 2024-09-14 11:31:01 +0000 UTCOkay so I am taking a few days away for a friends wedding. Please comment here (and upvote comments you like) with what film you would like us to go through when I get back. I'm hoping for something weird but I'm up for anything.
I think we'll do it like the Longlegs video where I do it unscripted and just kind of flick through the film scene by scene adding commentary/with a bit of editing when needed.
(Also I scheduled two posts for the same time, so there should be an Arcane Season 2 Trailer Reaction underneath this post.)

Would love for you to do a commentary on Stopmotion (2023)!!! (I know I’m late to the party but needed to get this out there LOL)

2024-10-10 05:12:55 +0000 UTCBro I just watched Speak no Evil the Original 2022 one and holy hell. I think that would be a hella good analysis for you. There are some on YouTube but not nearly as in depth as I know you could make it. If you haven’t seen it definitely should

2024-09-19 00:22:18 +0000 UTCEveryone thinks they are Patrick Bateman. The whole point of the movie is that everyone is so stuck in the pleasures of conformity that they are all virtually unrecognizable, even to eachother. The real enemy isn’t Patrick Bateman, it’s society’s pressure to confirm, which leads a man who is actually quite smart to be so splintered and conflicted that he is either actually murdering and assaulting people, or is hallucinating this so heavily that he can’t tell the difference.

2024-09-18 15:17:24 +0000 UTCAmerican Psycho is a very interesting phenomenon. It clearly shows who the antagonist is, but Patric has way too many real fans among some finance bros who think that he is actually very cool

2024-09-14 19:43:21 +0000 UTCYes! I didn't really understand all of the "Longlegs" hype. (Although, to each their own, it just wasn't for me.) But "Oddity" is one of the best horror films that I've seen in years.

2024-09-14 15:34:05 +0000 UTCIf we’re talking horror, one movie I loved more than Longlegs this year was Oddity. I think you’ll really enjoy it. It was clearly a product of deep love for the genre.

2024-09-14 15:24:32 +0000 UTCSuspiria (2018), Mother!, or Bones and All I know you said you wanted weird and I feel like they all are..? I’m not sure if there is a lot of content already for those but I’m not sure if that matters to you or not. Great suggestions in these comments! 😁

2024-09-14 11:56:39 +0000 UTCThe shining would be a great one I know it's been covered many times over the years but I feel it would be a good one to do because it's fallen out of the public image and also despite the fact that it's been thoroughly covered given your particularly thorough style I'm still confident you can come up with a deeper coverage than we've ever seen. Also I'm just fascinated to hear your thoughts on this movie that has remained a mystery for so long.
