CURRENT WORK UPDATE - Setting up for 3D Development
Added 2022-05-31 23:07:24 +0000 UTCHello, everyone. For those who aren't in the Postmodern Hellforest Discord, I'll let you all in on what I've been working on recently.
2D GAME UPDATES
First of all, I've still been chipping away at There Swings A Skull: Grim Tidings. It's slowly advancing to a point that we're all quite happy with! Here's some WIP stuff to show you how that's going:

Second, I've been working on a small side-project called Crumbs, an autobiographical game in RPG Maker 2003 with a day and night cycle. It will not be for sale on itch.io, but be released as a Patreon exclusive for tiers 3 € and up.
Even so, here's some WIP stuff for everyone:

As you might be able to tell, I'm going for a pretty different visual style with it- it's my first venture into lineless pixel art in a while!
This one has a very "when it's done" approach to its progress. I used to want to finish it in 3 weeks, but that didn't happen due to other work needing my attention. But yes, I am aiming to have it done before the year ends.
I'm also putting some small updates into An Outcry, too:

Said update will be launched before or during the Steam Summer Sale, and be soon also applied to the French version of the game.
Now for the big thing, though-
MY FORAY INTO 3D GAMEDEV
That's right! I'm starting a 3D game soon. This game will be called A Thought, Obliterated.
Currently, I am very much in the planning + set-up phase of it. The short story of what this is is that it's a Return of the Obra Dinn style detective game set in Vienna about people's heads suddenly and violently exploding, and the reasons for it.
For this purpose, I have begun to learn how to 3D model! Progress there is slow, but I'm doing it:

The excellent Valerie Dusk is also showing me how to use Unity with Playmaker for the purpose of this game.
For your information- A Thought, Obliterated will likely be my new main project after TSAS:GT and Crumbs. Y'all will be supporting a real bona-fide 3D developer! Wow!
The game will also be divided into 3 parts: A short Intro part, and then Part 1 and 2 of the game proper.
Obviously, I'm keeping my cards pretty close to my chest about it- because I want my approach to this game's story to be very different from An Outcry, or anything else I've worked on. It will be both bombastic and a slow burn, show its hand slowly and horrifically.
I hope you all look forward to that, and are still enjoying your time here!
Peace,
Quinn
