Update and Housekeeping 2024.06

Hello everyone!

I want to apologize for the lack of updates and art. Truth is I was working full time with my day job, but I'm reducing that workload to part-time though frankly I want to quit it to be completely independent. I will explain some of the things however, that I have start working on and how I am just changing moving forward and what I am doing to actually stay independent as a creator.

Equellum/Fabula

I am working on that with some talented folks. It's a reimaging of the original Mila x Ishtar VN I did several years ago. However, this will not just be a one off. The writer whose helping me just finished Episode 1, and we're now going into the brain storm phase of Episode 2, which will be centered around Hildr, and we're expecting to have some tactical gameplay. This week I am also sitting down with my programmer friend and we will hammer out a GDD. The music guy is working on a demo to get the main feel of the soundtrack, after which I will commission them to make a few tracks (where my own budget allows me).

Just for transparency sake, the people I have on board are my friend Phuebel (whom you might know if you frequent my Discord) as the lead programmer, Liberty who wrote for FutaFix (and has been doing an awesome job), and the composer is Ardklaw/Gentlebreez3 whose done work in many games and other projects (and also did the main theme Equellum/Fabula the rpg maker game I was doing). I have people on board to make sure I can focus on directing, making the art, and honestly to make something fun. I'm ok relying on people that are better than me at things.

Once I have more to share in this regard, y'all will be the first to know

Commissions

I'm mainly gonna focus on catching up with comms this summer, not only because it's important I do, but it'll help me put out more stuff. Don't really have much to add here.

Personal Art

I'm probably gonna start working on more sketches I can put out, even if not colored. A friend showed me some sketches from my Tumblr days (which made me wince a little) but they were fun and he encouraged I do more of those! So yeah I will try to put out more stuff.

Merch

Last week I sat down and planned an entire catalogue of merch. A lot of original stuff (including Linnea) and a lot of fanart stuff! I asked a few friends and mutuals if I had permission to make fanmerch of their OCs and they had no problem with it. The art I make for this will not be exclusive to merch, and I will put it out once I make it, albeit at a lower quality (y'know just to be safe).

To people who are still waiting on standees, I have been after the merch folks to make sure that gets sorted, and they have told me that's getting sorted this month.

Personal Note

I have a few goals I want to fulfill, other than catching up to comms, making more personal art, stream more, etc. The biggest one is to move to a permanent location or somewhere I can grow my roots. More than likely it seems Michigan, as I want to do conventions more seriously and attend several next year, hence the amount of work I'm gonna put into merch!

This time around I'm trying to make sure I don't bite more than I can chew so merch stuff I can take my time with, and thankfully I have cool people helping me with my game project and I have been finding healthy ways to not be working all the time.

Apologies for being absent here again, I focused a lot on different things on stuff outside of my own, but I will be slowly but surely be putting out things and making stuff that's inherently my own. I will see about posting some merch designs I'm planning!
