Equellum/Fabula Plans and Somewhat roadmap

Heya guys! What you see here might be confusing! "Redesign for Roz-chan?" "Rota?" There's a reason I've done these concept designs. I will explain it in this post. I hate RPG Maker. It's an outdated engine that if you don't know any kind of programming, you depend on plugins. The issue with plugins is that those are also depending if they work with each other, and when something breaks its either extremely difficult to determine what broke, or maybe some really dumb and easy to fix, but you aren't ever sure if its a plugin that's not working right or if it's me not understanding. Fact of the matter is, its a great tool to start out game making but it also boxes you in a lot. Which leads me to my next point. I will move away from RPG Maker to potentially GODOT. My plan is currently to finish this game in a more or less satisfying way, but inconclusively so that I "remake" the game in a simpler manner, and just leave in the important stuff and be concise about it. The current idea is that it will be an alternate universe of sorts but not. I can't put into words yet, as at the moment I'm writing every idea I have so that I make something that's good and not something weird. I had a long time to think about it, but the current game people love it and I'm grateful for it, but from a dev point of view, it was unplanned and it was getting out of scope. I needed to reel it in a long time ago, but I kept adding things. So moving forward, I will work and plan appropriately to have something that will make everyone happy and I can deliver a fun and lewd experience. I'm still determining what characters I can use for the following story, although everything is taking form. Once I have a better idea of how I will proceed, I will share synopsis and general ideas. I like the current design of Roz since she feels less confident and more out of her depth and awkward, much like how the player is.

I'd keep the current cast, as well as character designs (though I was a bigger fan of Roz-Chan's when she wasn't ALL out all the time) I think they look fantastic as they are now

Glad to hear you've decided on what direction you want to go in! I know whatever you land on will be dope. As for chars to keep, I'd say Suzuya, Sig, Thalia, Carmen, the centaurs, the bathhouse twins and Brioche, because I love her design! Bruna and Kashima deserve to stick around as well since they're the muscle mommies. Really hard to narrow down who to keep tbh, I love all your designs haha

I would like to preserve the fox housemaid, the centaurs, the elf and the bathhouse sisters as priority characters.

I heard that a lot : if you use RPGM, either you have a small project, either you're incredibly skilled or you snap x) I heard Godot was good, but it requires programming skill. Anyway, hope the transition will go smoothly, I think it's a good decision (annoying, but benificial for the project). Also, I think I'm in love with Rota *o*

I can totally relate with starting on a project with a certain toolset, but realizing part way through that you have to shift gears for the better of the project. Here's hoping that the transition between tools goes smoothly, and we'll continue to support you throughout it all!
