AI - yes or not?
Added 2025-03-14 13:31:17 +0000 UTCHi friends, forgive me that I still can't get out of my depression and start working fully. I've already rewritten the story of the first contact several times, but it still can't turn into a 3D story. But I'll turn to the topic of the survey. I've always been categorically against using AI, and I've never even looked at art made with it. Crooked fingers, identical faces, all of this repelled me. But at some point I tried to do post-processing with it and I liked it, in my renderings I didn't like how the hair or fabric on the characters turned out and the AI easily corrects them by introducing a realistic style. And I've always wanted to try and see what my characters would actually look like. Someone who works with Ai will probably make super art in 2 clicks, which is indistinguishable from professional performance in HD or photo, but I'm new to this and just wanted to try what would come of it. I also want to find out among my subscribers whether it is worth partially or not using AI in my work or absolutely not, and you prefer the style of rendering.

It's just another tool. It's the end product that matters.

2025-03-21 21:44:35 +0000 UTCI've already been confused myself whether I should use this or not, the very fact that AI is oversaturated in porn makes me nervous and think that i lagging behind progress, but on the other hand, I see that probably many people don't care about realism and clear details. Probably many people are interested in the plot and characters such as they are in my comics.

2025-03-16 10:52:11 +0000 UTCAs I noticed, most of them use the same models that are trained for a certain type of face, and even using LORA or roop does not always help to remove the effect of recognition. Plus, I don't understand how, at this stage of AI development, you can make a comic strip in 200-300 frames completely generated on it, I think it's impossible to repeat the same environment, it's always something, but it will be different. Now I'm only considering cosmetic processing of some details that I don't like in my renders, I've been working on a 24-inch monitor for a long time and didn't notice some jambs in my pictures, and recently I looked at a 32-inch and was horrified at how my renders look on it)

2025-03-16 04:09:02 +0000 UTCThat's why I want to find out from my audience what they think about AI and its use. Since I work closer to realism, there is a desire to make my renderings even more realistic, but as I have heard from many, such "realism" causes the effect of an ominous valley and many do not like it. Of course, if I were working in an anime style or a hand-drawn one, it wouldn't be so obvious.

2025-03-16 03:59:28 +0000 UTCI wouldn't talk about making my work easier yet, since the same processing of old renders took me even more time than I would have done in Photoshop, I probably don't have the skills to work with AI yet. In most cases, I can't get what I want right away, I have to sit for a long time and generate sections of what needs to be fixed, hair is the easiest thing to fix, but when it comes to the environment and small details, it's kind of a horror begins)).

2025-03-16 03:46:39 +0000 UTCI’m like 50\50 on ai I don’t hate it but I don’t like it like some stuff looks amazing and some stuff just is too ai if that makes any sense

2025-03-15 08:25:21 +0000 UTCI'm sorry to hear about your troubles; life can be hard enough without your own brain hating you. That being said, I think that your work has a very unique look and feel, and that's what drew me to it in the first place. In my opinion, AI just makes it look cheap and generic like all the rest. While I don't hate AI in and of itself, I have to vote no simply because it takes away from your unique style.
