Hey everyone! I apologize for the lack of posts in June. June was a very amazing and tiring month for me. I flew back to LA to see my family AND film that Sega Genesis Mini segment for E3. That was a very cool experience and I got to meet a lot of people, which was awesome.
It took me DAYS to finally have the guts to watch the E3 segment. It could have gone worse, but I did notice I misspoke about the cartridge slot (I said "controller port" instead :p) Ah well, what can ya do! It was very fast paced and I didn't have a lot of time with the console before the segment, so you guys basically saw as much as I did. But regardless, I'm EXTREMELY grateful that YouTube chose me to debut the Sega Mini and it was a wonderful experience.
Another big event that happened last month was attending Too Many Games and having a panel there with Pam from Cannot be Tamed. That panel could not have gone better. I know one or two of you were there, so thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to support me on my panel. I'm still new to that stuff, but I think we all had a really good conversation about games. Walking up to the panel door I saw the line of people waiting to come in and that really calmed my nerves. It was comforting to know that people WANTED to take the time to see me, if that makes any sense.
Anyway, I was a bit in shock the whole time. I tweeted vaguely about this, but as I'm sure you're all aware, the internet can be a shitty place sometimes. And I knew it would only get worse as my channel grew. I was feeling a bit paranoid and down on myself when it comes to my channel, so talking to viewers face to face was a really nice experience. Anyone that took the time to say hi, or said anything kind about how my videos have put a smile on their face or got them back into retro gaming seriously meant a lot to me.
And maybe some of you guys can relate, but doing a month full of very social things was VERY draining. I tend to stress and get anxious easily, so I kind of just deflated like a balloon once it was all over.
-------
Enough of the emotional stuff. Let's talk about upcoming videos!
So as you can tell by this picture, my next video is on Castlevania IV. This one was a long time coming. When I finally got back to real life and got my "spark" back, I was magically able to crank out a script on this game. Let's just say I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS! lol. I'm a bit worried about the footage though, since I was dumb and didn't realize until it was too late that some of my streams didn't record, but luckily my first play through of the game was recorded so I think it should work. Wish me luck -_-
I wanted to record this DAYS ago but I've been dealing with the worst allergies I've had in a long time. So thanks for being patient when it comes to videos the past few weeks.
After that, as of now I'm planning on FINALLY doing a video on the infamous Spice Girls PS1 game. Right now I'm trying to decide if I should stream it first or just do it classic "Erin Plays" style (just playthrough the game on camera and edit it down.) We'll see. If you guys have anything you'd like to see in that episode, please feel free to add a suggestion below.
So, that's about it going on with me lately and as always, thanks SO MUCH for continuing to support me here on Patreon. Every little bit really does help and I really do appreciate it.
I hope you're all doing great and I'll talk to you soon!
