Hey everyone! I just wanted to give a quick update on the power pad video I mentioned earlier. It’s coming along! But it’s a pretty involved editing process. But first, let’s talk about FILMING the gameplay portions.
So, being an out of shape-asthmatic 31 year old, I knew that some of the more physical power pad games would tire me out. My plan was to originally film this over multiple days, but since I wasn’t thinking about how I would need to do a whole multiple camera set up, that would be nuts. So instead, I powered through (no pun intended) and just filmed them all in a few hours.
Around the third game, I literally was trying not to puke. Obviously, these games require lots of running, but not normal running. You have to QUICKLY keep your feet low to the ground. Almost like tiny little stomps, if that makes sense. Anyway, towards the end of the games I was throwing myself on the couch in between takes.
I don’t know why I’m telling you these details, but I just think it’s kind of funny.
Also, this is quickly turning out to be my “biggest” video yet. Meaning there’s multiple camera angles (even a phone strapped to the ceiling for overhead shots!) and editing this is REALLY involved.
I just really hope you guys enjoy this video once it’s out! And I wanted you to understand why it’s taking a little longer than usual to have a new video out. I don’t want to like, get your hopes up or anything, but I’m excited to see what everyone’s reaction is. I’m also a little nervous, because I’m not used to doing full-body shots and some of it is pretty goofy, but it’s for the sake of ART! Or something.
Anyway, I’m alive. Just trying to power through editing this thing. And I’ll post again with some of my upcoming appearances soon.
Talk to you later,
Erin
