A VERY overdue update

Hey everyone, it's been a very very very VERY VERY long time since the last update, and I am painfully aware of that fact, and I sincerely apologize for making you wait this long.

Just to clarify one thing, I've been pausing the billing cycles while I was on hiatus, so you haven't been charged while I haven't been working on the comic

The main reason why It's been so long, almost 8 months now, since I've worked on the comic is because I'm just a fan-artist at heart, I suppose. I enjoy making making one off drawings a lot, and for the past few months I've been in this cycle of "Oh I'll just do this one picture and I'll start working on Debuffed again," but I get another idea and it just keeps going and going. I've never really put so much time into creating and developing my own characters before, and it's honestly still a little foreign to me. And to be truthful, working on a comic is very time consuming. It's definitely a lot more effort and work than I thought it'd be.

Don't get me wrong though, I still love this world and the characters I've made for it. More recently, I've been kind of shifting from doing only fan art to working on my own characters again, trying to flesh them out more through my artwork. I think it's because of this, from drawing characters that aren't even currently in the story so far (Esra, Orlok, Orion, etc.), that I realized that if I want to tell their stories at all, I'm gonna have to keep working on Debuffed. I want people to see how their characters develop and fall in love with who they are (very ambitious, I know), and I won't be able to properly do that with just little snippets and mini comics on twitter. It'll definitely take a while, but I'm really shooting to get there eventually so we can have all of the boys together.  

So where does this leave us now? I'm happy to say that I finally got off my ass and am working on Chapter 2. The first few episodes are scripted, and I have just finished lining up the first episode!  I'm hoping to get the new episode released for patrons hopefully by the beginning of next week, and I'm shooting for Chapter 2 to be publicly released on webtoon and tapas when I've finished the second episode. I'll try my best to keep to the two week schedule like before as well.  I think the one good thing about taking so long to start working on this again is that I believe my art looks better at least? So I'm happy that the quality of the work itself will be a little higher than the last time you've seen it.  

But yeah! I don't blame anyone  who's dropped their patronage over the course of the year at all, but I'm also very grateful for people who've held out as well! I'll keep you guys updated on any developments.
