The new tech is best summarized with researching the new sig optic that will literally outline enemy targets, digesting thermal data, IF data, etc. high-tech magic. And from what I’ve seen it’s like cheating and they’re gonna give it to squad leaders along with the new army assault rifle. But yeah, we don’t use those flashing thermal things on people anymore, because everyone with thermals can see them (there are exceptions, obviously)

2023-12-27 17:10:03 +0000 UTCQuite a bit late, haven't gone through all of the episodes yet, so maybe this came up already: in a short story it is revealed that an Elder Seer actually found the Culexus' homeworld and was about to destroy it. But when he looked into the future to see the consequences of the attack, all he saw were burning and derelict craft worlds, so after sitting there desperately searching for a positive future, he ended up leaving without revealing the location to anyone else, convinced that the Culexus Assassins played a vital role in the future. I think this was a short story in a White Dwarf.

Especially since his book series is so long lol If I remember right they're on an ice world and Cain mentions how Jurgen's smell is more tolerable there or that Cain's nose has frozen. Which, following the The Smell is Part Warp theory would make sense, if the physical part of the bad smell was taken care of by the cold, what's left would probably be Warp Smell?

He's also the one man in the galaxy Cain trusts.
