Tall Order - Chapter 2

Katsuki growled under his breath, glancing across the bar to where the latest girl was ogling him. Eijirou and Denki could never seem to let it go. Any time a girl even glanced his direction, it had to become a Thing™. It didn't matter how many times he told them he wasn't interested, no matter how bored or how aggressive his tone was as he said it, still they persisted with their dumb games.

“She's cute!” Mina gushed, elbowing him sharply in the ribs. “I like this one! You should go say hi! Or send her a drink!”

“Why don't you buy her a fuckin' drink? You're the one who thinks she's cute.”

“Because she's looking at you, you big dummy.”

“Not interested.”

“Well, what about that blonde over there, then? She's pretty.”

“Don't care.”

“She's not your type either?!”

“Nope.”

“No one is ever your type,” she pouted. “Come on, Blasty! There must be someone in this jam-packed bar who's caught your eye even slightly!”

Practically on cue, he found his eyes wandering to a lean, muscular figure that passed them by. Tall – six feet, at least, probably more, with hardly an ounce of fat on him.

“What is your type, then, huh?”

“Uhh... Tall.”

He kicked himself for the word as soon as it left his mouth, ruined for life when they followed his gaze and found it locked on the tight ass so perfectly emphasised by dark jeans, the thick arms, massive biceps that Katsuki would love to have wrapped around him, holding him up and pressing him into the wall as they-

“Katsuki?” Eijirou asked quietly, snapping him out of his spiralling drunken thoughts and back to reality, where his face was flushed bright red and his pants tented a little beneath the bar. “Is there something you want to tell us?”

“Of course not! Fuck off! Fuck you all!”

The tall man looked up, glancing over to see what the commotion was all about, and caught Katsuki's eye. Gaze dropping immediately, Katsuki flushed bright red, and with a little smile Mina winked at the stranger. She slipped away gracefully, and with a fit of giggles the guys followed, leaving Katsuki stranded on his stool with an empty glass in his hand.

“Can I buy you a drink?”

The deep voice went straight to the pit of Katsuki's stomach, twisting it into knots. It was low, and oh so damn tempting.

“Looks like you could use a cold one to cool off.”

“Sure,” he huffed, eyes darting away awkwardly. “If, uh, you'll sit here while I drink it.”

After that night, he no longer held any sense of plausible deniability with his friends. Not that he'd ever really needed it, but he didn't exactly appreciate being shoved into tall buff dudes at every turn, hearing the hushed little whispers encouraging him to say hello.

Sure, they were all hot but Katsuki wasn't looking for a relationship. He'd never be looking for that. His career was too important to waste his time on stupid dates.

Okay, so maybe he'd been back to one or two apartments with one or two of the cute guys his friends had found. So sue him.

It's not like they needed to know.
