Video: How Britain Became a Poor Country

Happy Monday and Happy New-Video-Release Day too!
About five weeks ago, as we began work on a completely different project, Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister of the UK, announced a general election.
And, as someone who makes video about politics on the internet and is British, it felt like it would be a bit weird if we didn’t make anything to coincide with it.
So, we paused work on the other (very exciting!) project we’d just begun, and pivoted all our energies to making a video which tries to capture some of the massive challenges the United Kingdom is facing at the moment, and how we got here.
It’s been a massive effort to pull it together in time, but hopefully that work has paid off!
For any fellow Brits, I hope this is a fun (or morbid, take your pick!) of the last 14 years in British politics; for those of you watching from elsewhere, I hope it’s an interesting insight into how a country can get itself into such a pickle.
