Hello!
And here it is! As mentioned in the most recent edition of The Friday Update, a bonus video!
Last week, I made the decision to make a short video to tie-in with the fact that, this Sunday, I'm going to be running the London Marathon.
I'm running the marathon in aid of a UK housing charity, Shelter, and am obviously keen to raise as much money as possible. And, I realised that nothing was going to compare in terms of reach to me making a video and posting it on my main channel.
What was initially going to be an incredibly short, update-style post, however, ended up expanding into a 20-minute reflection on renting and landlordism in the early 21st century.
It's certainly less decisive in terms of conclusions than some of my other work, but hopefully there is some interesting thoughts in there. And I definitely think it's good fun!
The next "proper" video will be along soon (and I will, of course, do the usual Early Access etc. with that—this was a bit of a special case as it was a bit of a last-minute project!). I'm going to start making the final tweaks to the edit in the next couple of days.
But, until then, let me know what you think of this one!
Thanks as ever for your generous support!
Tom
p.s. As I've said previously with regards to this fundraiser, I am hugely grateful to all of you for supporting me on here. While I don't want to put anyone off sponsoring me for Sunday's run, please don't feel as though you need to do so on top of the support you already provide here. In fact, if you'd like me to add your Patreon pledge for the month to the sponsorship tally then just drop me a message!
