Hey Everyone!
Yesterday was an exciting day as, with a little help from a friend, I headed out to film my next video.
It was an incredibly early start to get to the beach where I was planning to film for 5am. This was partly to try and get some nice light as the sun rose, but mostly ended up being a good move to avoid there being too many other people as, towards the very end of the shoot, we had to contend with Beach Zumba and lots of very friendly dogs coming over to say hello.
We were really, really fortunate with the weather as it was a lovely morning. The shoot itself took just over 5 hours but, amid the hard work of constantly moving, setting up and taking down kit to get different shots, we got to watch the sun slowly sweep over the Devon coast.
This morning, I've been starting to look through the footage, mark out which takes I'll be using and synchronise audio and I think it's mostly looking good. There's certainly one or two lessons to be learned for future videos where I might want to film outside but it's a welcome change from indoor sets!
I'm going to be furiously editing over the next week and am really looking forward to putting together something wonderful to share with you all.
Thanks as ever for your generous support; it would be impossible to undertake experiments with new ways of working such as this without it!
Tom
