I just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone for your thoughts and feedback on my most recent video about "Cancel Culture" and mobs. Whether people agree with the central thesis of a video or not, I'm always blown away by everyone's perceptive and inquisitive questions and thoughts on the topics I cover.
I also wanted to saw hello and welcome to everyone that has joined us on here since that video went up! Welcome! Creating videos as ambitious as this one is highly time and resource intensive and would be completely impossible without your support.
I've just finished filming the Commentary video to accompany my latest release and will be uploading that for Patrons on the $5/month and above tiers either later today or tomorrow. I'm moving house on Wednesday so apologies that it's taken a day or two longer than I had hoped; it turns out I own a lot of books which need to be packed!
I'm currently in the process of researching my next video. I've been quietly working on a couple of big, research-intensive projects in between editing my Cancel Culture video but am planning on changing my schedule of upcoming releases slightly in order to give myself the proper time to read the thousands of pages necessary to do them justice.
As such, unless I change my mind again, my next video will likely see us return to a topic I've covered before from a slightly different angle. This is something I'm keen to do a bit more of in the future. I often feel like I absorb a huge amount of knowledge about a given topic each month and that a bunch of that goes to waste as it doesn't make it into the final script.
It will likely be slightly different in tone from a lot of my stuff, but I came across a video on YouTube which raised some questions for me which I think will serve as the basis for a really interesting broader discussion.
I'll let you know a bit more when I'm sure I'm going ahead with the idea and when it begins to take shape. I'm always really grateful for how much you folks who support me on Patreon and my wider audience are willing to allow me to experiment with new ways of creating videos and presenting ideas and so I hope you might be willing to grant me that kind of space again!
Anyway, all of this to say thank you, as ever, for your generous support. All the work I've been doing over the past year to improve my craft in making these videos would be inconceivable without your backing.

It's not a return to Society of the Spectacle I'm afraid! Perhaps I might do so at some point though. I think I was a little done with it after making three videos on Debord but, if there's something it feels relevant to again, I certainly won't rule out returning to the topic! And that's great to hear about the Psychoanalysis video. That one was a real undertaking (I think, at that point, it was the longest video I'd made) but I really enjoyed making it. It's always nice to hear that videos I made a while ago and have dropped to the back of my mind are still providing people with some insight and/or entertainment!

Fingers crossed you decide to expand on Society of the Spectacle. Also as an aside, I recommended your psychoanalysis vid to my boomer mom who's spending her retirement learning new things (bless her) and she absolutely loved it. Cross-generational appeal confirmed!
