Filming Day!

Today, I've been filming the main, "to-camera" sections of my next video!

I borrowed the monitor from my partner's computer and managed to hook it up to the camera so that I had a pretty beefy monitor to watch myself on (although the microphone basically obscured it the whole time!).

It is going to be a looooooooong one. As you'll see in the second photo, the script came out at more than 8,800 words which is around double the lengths that my videos usually are.

My voice is currently very croaky, haha!

I don't think the length of it is because it's long-winded; I actually feel as though it's quite concise given the amount of ground it covers.

Longer videos aren't something I'm planning on making a habit of; I generally really like making videos which are around the 25-minute mark. I think it allows them to be relatively in-depth without being too unwieldy. This one sort of just felt it needed the extra time to properly engage with the ideas at hand.

I'm really proud of the script. I think, as an attempt at education, it's one of the things I've written that I'm most pleased with. I really hope the video itself turns out well and is occasionally entertaining too.

I'll be editing furiously over the next few days and will have it to you as soon as I can!
