Somehow we got far enough off-topic that we reached Rescue Rangers and Talespin. Why was everyone needing a rescue in the late 90s/early aughts? Did Rescuers Down Under spark that trend?

Anyway, we tackle Speed. Which we wrapped up with great speed. So much so you could accuse us of being on speed, but you would be wrong. We're just a bunch of idiots with gusto.

I never know, starting these conversations, where they will go. We're all used to being candid on air now, and Kara definitely admits to some human frailty and foible, so if you have a moment, maybe send her a little bit of love and a memory you have of a time when she's done something epically right. I felt such empathy for her because early on, I remember realizing that I couldn't continue to allow myself to be the butt of intelligence jokes- it's so hard to transcend being female or femme, and a clown. We automatically reduce female intelligence as a culture, and there are so many types of intelligence- just because yours doesn't match someone else's definition doesn't mean that they get to define for you and everyone else how smart or valuable you are. And no one really wants to fuck up or be labeled the failure/dumb, but weirdly redemptively, it's also always the ones who others laugh off who end up changing the course of history. So maybe let them laugh? I certainly have, right up until one of my "crazy" ideas gets a crit success.

Still, it's so healing to get a little extra love, so if you have some to spare, send it her way.
