Reroll B-Roll: Frozen

Frozen was the first time we really felt like we were finding a groove. It was the first time Jon ran a reroll, and I think we all benefitted from exploring our play styles in the framework of a different GM. It also proved to us just how crunchy and also how versatile GURPS is- it may seem like an unending set of rules (because it kind of is), but to effectively play in a certain world, you can get so specific about only what you need and leave the rest. As Jon does here, he selects the relative skillsets and molds them to his story (Disney Rules!), and then runs rules-lite on the moments that might bog the story down. GURPS is definitely a stacked deck toward the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, the worlds you can build will rapidly expand, and whether you want a roll-every-moment potential, or to use enough to suggest a framework for some creative players, it shrinks and grows accordingly.

This one was just a blast. Unless you're Bors.
