Halloween 3 Part 7

I can't believe we finished this. I mean, I know it's light entertainment, it's a bit of fluff built out from the carcass of some movies from 40 years ago, but there's so much that goes on underneath to make these things happen. The amount of world that goes into my head quickly grows exponentially, and anything like this that started pretty big and went long just feels like it's filling up my brain to keep it all in. Plus the first halloween started before Tim was on board, so I've always just done these solo (Probably could have used his help, but it felt like so much work just to get him up to speed.) I miss Tim's help, I also didn't have him for Memento because pandemic and I don't like zoom. It'll be great to be working with him again, the next movie (after completing Aliens) I'll def be returning to the beers-with-Tim approach to worldbuilding.

I hope it's a satisfying end. No spoilers. We definitely went to some crazy places with this one. On the one hand I'm so glad to put this one away, on the other it seems so hard to imagine not coming back to revisit this world and these characters. That's the problem with long things, you want to let them die but then it gets so hard to end them. But I'll be honest, I don't want to do Halloween 4. Never say never, I suppose.

Now I get a bit of a break, while we finish out Aliens (we already recorded the whole thing) and then the next couple movies have already been claimed by someone else to DM. Looking ahead to our upcoming slate, a lot of sponsored eps, which is always a fun challenge. I'm excited about all of them.

Thanks for coming along for this ride. Halloween will always have a soft spot in my heart, even though (or perhaps because) this was the campaign that most defied my planning, most went opposite directions of where I expected to go, and most made me struggle to fit a sprawling narrative into something approaching structure. I hope it was as thrilling for all of you as it was for me. Stay spooky!

Congratulations on making it through! I always enjoy the Reroll and have especially enjoyed your perspective on how this challenge has mutated over the years!

Thank you all for this. It's a really beautiful part of the Reroll canon, and has been an absolute joy to experience.
