Aliens (Part 1)

It's here. We're doing it. It's happening. Aliens. We're also borrowing from the movies in having a shifting director for every movie, hence Jon taking the reins for this one. As we've previously done for sequels, this is a sequel to our version of Alien, not a direct adaptation of the original sequel, however in this case, Jon was able to take from the film Aliens very heavily as our version of Alien hewed fairly tightly to the original (at least in the ways that matter to the sequel). This can be thought of as simultaneously a sequel to our Alien and a reroll of the film Aliens (which wasn't really the case for our Halloween 2).

As I write this, we've recently finished recording Aliens, and I'm excited for y'all to hear where it goes. I'm a big fan of Jon's approach here with a deep pool of characters with differing skill sets for us to choose from. There's a fun element of variables of different ways to approach the problem depending on which character sheet is in front of us, and ultimately we tend to choose characters based on what sounds fun, rather than based on optimal strategy, which can serve to elevate minor characters to starring roles. Generally, any added elements of randomness to vary the direction of a story are good by me.

Overall, excited to be doing new rerolls again. We've got a lot on the docket that I'm excited to get moving on!
