Toy Story (Part 2)

Some interesting differences in plot came out of the fact that Woody and I approached the problem of Buzz in different ways. Somewhere along the way in part 1 I had a self-control roll that I succeeded and presumably Woody failed in the movie, which allowed me to be a bit more pragmatic and political rather than openly hostile. Most of the principal differences in the story, and the slightly different shape of the emotional arcs, can be traced back to that one roll.
Part 2 was a lot of fun. Joz's detailed and vivid life within the unseen corners of the arcade was amazing. It made me wish we could have spent more time with it, but of course, my character's priorities were elsewhere.
It's hard to make these write-ups when I didn't GM. I should've had Joz write it. Toy Story was delightfully fun and easy to record. I don't have a ton more to say about it off the top of my head.
So I guess we should talk about the next episode:
Memento
I am super excited to finally be able to release this. I've been working on it on-and-off for most of quarantine and I only just officially wrapped recording it a few days ago. It's proved to be a much bigger story than I anticipated. It's been a ton of fun, and a ton of work, and it's probably the most ambitious thing we've attempted on this show.
I've actually wanted to do this one for ages. I had the concept of it way back in the early days of the show, but I was imagining it with everyone still together, and people arriving at different times and taking turns playing Leonard, with the other people taking over NPC's and such. Of course, that still demanded a large cast to all be available on the same day, so I had never gotten around to scheduling it. Of course with quarantine and remote play, it became a natural movie to take on and so it's been my major film reroll project of the spring/summer. And doing it this way has allowed the cast to grow significantly.
See you guys in two-weeksish.
