Blade Runner part 2

I don't know if it's made clear in the recordings, but Blade Runner and Practical Magic were entirely recorded in a single weekend. Friday evening was part 1 of Blade Runner, Saturday was parts 2 and 3 of Blade Runner and Sunday was both halves of Practical Magic. It rarely works out that we end up with every movie we wanted to run entirely finished in the time we'd alotted it (of course both Saturday and Sunday ran long, we never really plan to do two episodes in a single sitting, it usually happens when we're really determined to finish something and no one has to be anywhere so we push through.)

So Joz GM'd five episodes in a weekend and never broke a sweat. I GM two in a weekend and I'm practically in a comma from exhaustion by the end of it. She is a literal iron woman.

The other thing is that we really needed to get these movies both done that weekend. Both movies were tied to a date (Halloween for Practical Magic, November 2019 for Blade Runner) and we were counting on them filling those months for us. With Joz going off to California for six months, and me having filled my autumn wall to wall with acting commitments, it was pretty critical for us to get the movies done. Now, it's always been one of the main difficulties in scheduling this show that we don't know how long movies will go. It's an improv show, and the GM trying to force an ending really doesn't work. That's why we've had so many movies lay dorment for months on end, because I didn't want to force an ending and we couldn't get the same group together for several months (or we could but a sponsored episode took precedence.)

In any case, I was sweating bullets about us finishing two movies in a weekend, but Joz was cool as a cucumber. We found nice endings for both of them and never felt at all like we were rushing towards getting them done. Super happy with what she did, and glad she's enjoying GMing (takes a lot of the pressure off me.)

Now, a little glance behind the curtain is that Joz and Andy will be back up here in NY in December, and we have an absolute marathon of recording planned. I'm looking forward to it.

Mega-Kudos to Joz for that effort, and super excited to hear more of Andy on the show.

I wanted to compliment Joz but you already nailed it, her episodes are amazing and I can hardly wait to hear what's next.
