Practical Magic
Added 2019-10-11 06:54:45 +0000 UTCOur Halloween movie for the year is Practical Magic! Joz did an awesome job DMing this one. I'll let you guys judge for yourselves once you've heard part 2, but this ended up being one of my favorite episodes. Joz was bold enough to run a movie she truly loves, not just a movie she likes, which I've done many of, but a movie that is actually important to her. That's something that I've shied away from doing, because I felt that I would be too attached to the plot of the original to be free with the story, but this episode showed me that's not something I should be worried about.
The other thing that got me thinking is the prospect of adding music to rerolls. There is some music in this episode, (it's pretty quiet in the final recording to make sure the speech was audible), but it was just me improvising in the background to add ambiance. Obviously, in most episodes I have too much to do to spend time messing around with live music, but maybe if the right episode strikes me, I may take my time and add some more carefully crafted music after the fact.
Anyway, here's practical magic. It's a two-parter. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
